Nice trail. We took the east west connector (bridge) and came back on the Golden Ears / West Canyon trail. West Canyon is much more challenging than the East and we ended up in the West Canyon parking lot. The walk back to our car along the gravel road was super dusty and awful. I think it might have worked to take a right on the Menzies trail instead of going all the way down to the West Canyon parking lot as we saw the trailhead near our parking lot.

It's basically just a walk, not much strenuous hiking involved, but some of the views are amazing, especially on clear days. Also very crowded with people and their dogs or small children, so I'd suggest going in the morning.

Really lovely trail, not difficult at all but a long enough walk to warrant the drive. The scenery was beautiful, not just the mountain views but the trail itself was just a perfect depiction of west coast wilderness

Nice hike on a sunny winter's day. Be sure to cover the low falls trail on your way back. Nice views of snowy mountains on clear days.

Gorgeous and easy hike, big reward for minimal effort

Beautiful hike, or better said a nice walk trough the forest...amazing views and was extremely nice right after the rain fall when the forest it's at its finest!

first time on this trail today, was fun. It's reasonably well groomed for 90% of it until the split for the lower falls trail. The bulk of the elevation starts at that point with loose gravel and uneven terrain. I'd suggest proper footwear. My Merrell Moab shoes felt a bit inadequate both ankle support wise and sole hardness wise. I'd say easy up to the fork and then lightly moderate perhaps.

Well maintained trail. Easy. Falls are pretty. More of a walk than a hike.

Probably one of my favorites, if not my favorite. It has 360° views and it's really worth an overnight trip so you'll have longer to take that beauty in! This one is a must!!!

Did it in one day. 5 hours up, 4 hours down. It was a grind but so worth it. The summit is very reachable with hiking boots and poles, however there is a couple scrambles, nothing too exposed. Highly recommend!

Amazing view. Make sure you are in shape, difficult last 2km and then the decent felt long.

Great, easy "hike". Easy yet long enough to get your cardio going. And it's super beautiful!!!

Easy, very pleasant walk in the woods with some pretty views of the mountains here and there. The last time I did it was 2 days ago and I was attacked by horse flies. It took forever to shake them off and I took a different route back. Same thing there but not as bad. I guess it's the season. Can become busier mid-day/afternoon.

This is a nice walk in the park. If you are looking for a challenge there are other hikes close by that would give you a better run for your money. That said, the scenery is nice and in the spring the waterfall is raging!

Great beginning trail for all ages. The falls are beautiful, and there is a beach area along the river that is great to hang out at. When you reach the waterfall, DO NOT cross the barrier/fence. The rocks are slippery and it is extremely difficult to climb back out if you fall in. A man was washed over the falls in April and was missing/presumed dead.

Nice easy walk on gravel path to the falls. Pit toilets at trail head and one when you reach the falls. Trail started to get busy after 11am and parking lot was completely full by noon when we returned.

Nice to traverse the barrier and get on top of the falls. Rocks are slippery so take care. Go explore the rest of the Golden Ears Provincial Park, a beauty.

Very easy trail but the scenery is awesome. Old growth forests, creeks and waterways. Gold Creek falls is powerful in the winter and best to stay behind the boundaries. In the summer the falls slow down to create these amazing pools that are great on a hot day

Nice trail. It's easy to moderate. There is a nice view of river. It's possible Cross the river and comeback using east canyon trail.

Great hike! Just tried the West trail past Alder flats (as far as I could go) made it just past the rock slide lookout. Trail was not passable at the first large hairpin. Way too much snow.

Nice easy trail, wide and kid friendly. Brings you right up to the falls, where you WILL get wet. Round trip at moderate pace for us took 1 1/2 hours.
