Nice easy walk to the falls, also known as lower falls trail. Only took 30 mins to get to them. Relaxing to sit on the rocks at the falls

The start of the trail is steep and has no warnings but once you make it up the terrain gets better. Once you make it to Small Lake that’s where the fun begins! Great views from some look out points. Truly worth the reward if you’re up for a challenge. Markers are easy to spot. Bring a walking stick or find a nice branch. Happy hiking

Great easy hike with so many great views of the river and the mountains! It was lovely and quiet. We only ran into three other groups along the hike, everyone was friendly. The dog loved the trail as well!!

Nice and very short hike! We went there as a warm up :)

Nice trail. We took the east west connector (bridge) and came back on the Golden Ears / West Canyon trail. West Canyon is much more challenging than the East and we ended up in the West Canyon parking lot. The walk back to our car along the gravel road was super dusty and awful. I think it might have worked to take a right on the Menzies trail instead of going all the way down to the West Canyon parking lot as we saw the trailhead near our parking lot.

It's basically just a walk, not much strenuous hiking involved, but some of the views are amazing, especially on clear days. Also very crowded with people and their dogs or small children, so I'd suggest going in the morning.

nice short hike with some incline. Great for kids and beginners.

Really lovely trail, not difficult at all but a long enough walk to warrant the drive. The scenery was beautiful, not just the mountain views but the trail itself was just a perfect depiction of west coast wilderness

Took my wife and 2.5yr old for a hike today. It was muddy, but super cute to watch my daughter climb over the exposed roots and climb up the boardwalks over the little streams. Very short hike with some of it on gravel path.

Only nice part is the fact its short. Had one view of the lake for 5 min. It was pretty ugly. Would not go again.

Nice hike on a sunny winter's day. Be sure to cover the low falls trail on your way back. Nice views of snowy mountains on clear days.

Good for kids, even little ones. Took my 6 and 3 year olds and they enjoyed it.

Great trail, took me and my dog 1 hour round trip. Awesome for a little trail running. There is a little elevation which gets the heart going a bit.

Gorgeous and easy hike, big reward for minimal effort

Wife and I did it with a 2.5 year old today. Awesome little hike. some delapitaded boardwalks but that just added to the hike. glad to see it hasn't gotten the "4 foot wide gravel upgrade" I've heard of so many other trails going.
Son really liked it. lots of mushrooms and tree fungus to check out. old growth stumps galore. lots of exposed root scrambles. good hike all around. took us 2 hours of slow meandering stop and looking.

Beautiful hike, or better said a nice walk trough the forest...amazing views and was extremely nice right after the rain fall when the forest it's at its finest!

Easy little trek around a small lake. Only a few people there when we went on a Saturday morning in October, but it is apparently busy in the summer. The roots all over the trail are incredible! We've nicknamed this one "Groot Trail". Not suitable for strollers/bikes/wheels.

Fun times! Wish the lake was more visible tho.

Very impressive waterfalls, bring your swimwear there's a natural pool!

A great trail, especially go with kids. Beautiful, safe and easy.

first time on this trail today, was fun. It's reasonably well groomed for 90% of it until the split for the lower falls trail. The bulk of the elevation starts at that point with loose gravel and uneven terrain. I'd suggest proper footwear. My Merrell Moab shoes felt a bit inadequate both ankle support wise and sole hardness wise. I'd say easy up to the fork and then lightly moderate perhaps.

Well maintained trail. Easy. Falls are pretty. More of a walk than a hike.

Easy, very pleasant walk in the woods with some pretty views of the mountains here and there. The last time I did it was 2 days ago and I was attacked by horse flies. It took forever to shake them off and I took a different route back. Same thing there but not as bad. I guess it's the season. Can become busier mid-day/afternoon.

Technical trails which is awesome. I wish the lake was more accessible, you can only get to it from a narrow pontoon which can become crowded on sunny days.

This is a nice walk in the park. If you are looking for a challenge there are other hikes close by that would give you a better run for your money. That said, the scenery is nice and in the spring the waterfall is raging!
