Excellent but challenging trail. Beautiful views of the Olympic Peninsula. We parked at car at Aylard Farm and Pike Road to make it a one way trip. Much longer than Alltrails tracked. One way was 17km with all the ups and downs. Took us 5 hours with kids but would plan longer for stops along the way.

Beautiful well marked trail that takes you within view of the coastline the whole way. With the hike having lots of ankle-roller terrain I would recommend to those looking for a consistent challenge who have roughly 6-8 hours of time if you are planning on walking with a pack.

Good views for a quite easy trail. Beautiful views of the sea and the Olympic Peninsula mountains.

June 8, 2020 Very few people on the trail. The trail is pretty relaxed for about 70% of the time and the rest of the time it is more technical. Nice hike with some great views on the coastline

Wonderful! We had no idea what to expect! We didn’t have quite enough time to do the while thing, but looped back and ended with 15.5 km ! Didn’t see any whales but kept out eyes peeled!!

Easy warm-up downhill, gorgeous shoreline cliff views, voluntary climbing, with a challenging yet steady ascend on the way back.

One of my favourite hikes. So pretty and often see ocean life. You can do as much or little of this trail. Just turn around when your tired!

Beautiful short loop great for a simple stroll. Visit the beaches along the way at low tide for peaceful beach exploring.

Beautiful Oceanside trail with many spots to stop and take pictures or rest for a snack. Make it as fast or slow as you like.

The experienced hiker will know that the ocean trail will be more difficult that the interior. Plan for that. But the elevation changes for this route can create some challenges, pace is important. Make sure you take PLENTY of water and toss in a couple of purifying tablets for safety. The view of the cabin at the southern turn into the tress is amazing. Absolutely picturesque. and many many places to and a rest and a bite to eat. Morning hikers might get a chance to see the seals feeding around the kelp beds. Happy trails! (A little blowdown on the babbington hills side)

There are a few short patches that I would rate above moderate, but overall the moderate rating applies. Good variety of trail conditions and some lovely lunch spots overlooking the Strait of JF.

This was the first real family hike that I took my wife and two sons (8 and 11) on. It was challenging, but very achievable for them, and the scenery was amazing. One of the best features was the traffic, which was virtually non-existent. There were some blown down trees, but most had been cleared, and those which remained did not interfere with the route.

Hard to find entrance. Looks like someone’s driveway but if you keep walking up and past the houses (keep left) and actual driveways it leads into the park.

Great trail. Lots of up and downs. As another reviewer said, we needed to do some rock climbing into places and use our fingers to grab some ledges. Definitely not an easy trail, but the coast views are quite nice. In addition, heads up, by Fitbit had this trail at much longer than 9.5 Kms .
