Great hike, it was easy up until the path stopped and then it was moderate to hard from there but don’t let that discourage you; the view was amazing. took me and my girlfriend approx 3 1/2 hours. Would do it again for sure.

Went on a Saturday morning. Started the hike at 7:00 am and took us about 4 hours return including about 30 minutes on the summit. Very little snow on the trail. Lots of mud last 1/4 of trail. Also lots of mosquitoes and other flying bugs. Not many people on the trail early in the morning but must have passed at least 100 people going to the summit as we returned. Better to go early morning or weekday to avoid the crowds. The rating of moderate is accurate. There are a few steeper areas that require minor scrambling that some might find difficult but the view is worth it.

A very busy hike on a holiday Monday, I would recommend going on a weekday if possible. Snow is mostly gone, just the last 15 minutes or so are in snow but it's easy to traverse.

Perfect views in a sunny day. First part of trails is really easy because the path is really well maintained. The second part is a bit more rough and pretty muddy - please don`t kill your white shining sneakers there. And mosquitoes - there are the worst! Don`t make my mistake and bring your bug spray because it kinda spoils the whole fun. On the top go to the farthest cliff - best views and almost no bugs there. One more thing - keep in mind that the creek is not a trail. At some point some people kept going downstream when they were supposed to turn - watch the signs!

First 3.5 km are on a fire road so not too exciting. back 3 km are relentless and challenging. The lake itself is nice for swimming as it's warmer due to not being glacier fed but lots of bugs and obviously not as grand of a viewpoint as some other hikes in the sea to sky. glad we did it for the challenge. :)

Great hike! Lots of variety. The path is still muddy but manageable. Be warned there are swarms of mosquitoes the last 1/3 of the hike. Made it uncomfortable to enjoy the beautiful view at the top.

Beautiful views BUT too early in the year. I did it last week (last week of June) and there is still too much snow. Up until the Lions is okay, but after that steep snow gullies and snow bridges need proper snow hiking gear (ice pick, crampons, etc).
Also, this is not really a loop...you can leave a car at Porteau Cove and then come back to start the hike from Cypress Mountain, it's 28km one way and hard, not moderate.

Be prepared to get muddy. Fabulous view. Patchy snow totally doable without crampons. Go in the off hours (eg early morning) to avoid massive crowds. Took us 3.5 hours including a 40 minute lunch and photo break at the top.

Visited on July 1. Some large groups visiting here. There is snow at the top, but not an issue to wear shorts, t-shirt, trail runners. the trail is quite muddy prior to the snow.

Great trail. Worth it for the view, but there are a ton of tourists so if you are trying to go somewhere to escape crowds, I would suggest somewhere else.

Great trail! Well maintained and easy to follow. there was only patchy snow at the top by July 2, but it was busy, at least 100 other people along the way!

We Hiked it 10 months ago on a beautiful day. We would do it agian. Not hard. Hike on a beautiful day and bring a lunch won't regret the view.

One of the most amazing views!! This hike is perfect for beginners looking to step up their hiking game. The trail begins with some switchbacks, then you are mostly in the forest for the rest of the way. Incline, length, and difficulty is moderate with the best reward at the top! Pick a clear day or you won't see much!

Great hike, last third has some snow coverage but nothing too difficult or deep. First 2/3rds are pretty quick with an excellent path. Final 1/3 gets more rugged with roots and rocks etc. Finish up with the Bowen view spot, then cruise the highway like path back to the lot.

Quick hike up the green ski runs with great viewpoints at the top of sky chair. Great with snow or in summer.

Only hiked to Eagle Bluffs. Steep climb at the end once you hit the rock slide. Trail before that is very nice, with a gradual climb. Difficult rating due to final techincal climb/scramble.

One of my Favourite The view is fantastic.

I went hike last year. It was quite hard to find the starting point. It is quite steep but the view is a beautiful

Great first half to Magnesia Meadows. Beautiful campsites and lake to refill the water bags. Difficult and technical trail up to Magnesia Meadows. Long trudge down to Deaks Lake and out. Worth it for the first half tho! Completed August 2017.

We did this trail yesterday. Still completely covered in snow, so prepare to walk through snow the entire route. Trail is still easy to follow as there are signs along the way. We were the only ones at the summit in the morning. Beautiful view and worth the trek through the snow.

Hiked yesterday, snow the entire way starting at the parking lot basically. Crampons suggested!

Well marked trail. We went in October and it was fairly muddy and snowy so boots are definitely the preference over sneakers. Such a stunning view at the top to hang out and have a snack and enjoy all the whiskey jacks!

The hike was great make sure you take poles and proper snowshoes. The view on the top is amazing. Make sure you check the avalanche warnings there are about 4 avalanche paths make sure you are prepared before you head up in the winter.

October 29. Easy trail up, pretty views up top. Muddy spots here and there but it’s late in the season and has rained a bit. Pretty busy, people and dogs. Took the east trail up and down. I prefer Tunnel Bluffs over this one. Same view but shorter.

Did this hike on Sunday. Well marked and very very busy. The first half (steepest section) is well maintained then it turns to the typical roots, dirt and and rocks. Not terribly hard for a 10+km hike. Spectacular views from the summit.

Super busy, but it thins out dramatically if you continue onwards to The Lions! It's so worth it.

Final destination is worth the climb. View is spectacular. Busy when we went. trail is well maintained upto end of crushed gravel path, then climb continues on a root exposed remaining natural path. very dry and dusty when we went. Quite a few Skeeters near the top. Set your phone on panorama as you'll need it.

The perfect North Shore day hike. The hike isn't long, isn't very difficult and the loomed view of Howe Sound is stupidly beautiful. Easily worth the effort to get to the summit's view.

One of the better marked trails I've been om although there were a couple of times I could see where some people might get off trail. My suggestion would be to keep your head up and an eye out for the trail markers. They are pretty much along the entire trail and very often wherever you at one marker, there will be another within sight.

Some people complain of bugs on the trail. Yes there were some, none of which really bothered me, but just remember your in the woods where bugs often live and maybe the solution is to use bug spray or stay home.

Lots of people hike this on the weekend. It would be odd if I didn't run into someone every 5 mins. At the beginning where you get to choose whether to take the east or west route by the big water tank, I took the east route up and west route down. Found the west route was a bit steeper and the ground was looser. It's also easy to get to bowen lookout from where the east and west routes I would probably stick with the east route going up and down unless you want to check out yew lake.

Overall not a hard hike with exceptionally rewarding views. Moderate is a fair difficulty rating. Weather was great and there didn't seem to be any/much smoke so visibility was prime. It took me 1:45 to summit and 1:20 to get back to the car.
