Lovely 6k walk through the Starratt Wildlife Sanctuary. The path is generally well-trodden throughout and the town has built a few sections of boardwalk, but some of the older boards are failing and there are some narrow sections of the path which got a bit eerie after sundown. A fabulous spot for avid bird-watchers - although I am no expert - I'm told the Yellow-Headed Blackbird, Sara, and Northern Harrier are often seen and heard. There are two viewing towers that overlook the marsh, which is beautifully framed by the surrounding mountains.
