Such a fun trail to do. Ride Merlin counter clock wise for a smooth fast downhill. Very busy trail so keep you eyes open especially on Baggin Rights. But yeah, go do it!

Did this hike today with my 11 yr old. Great and fun hike. Mostly mtn bikers, but surpisingly polite. Loads of families. Boundary Ridge to Strange Brew to Ranger Summit Loop worked out well. Taking Ranger first would be pretty steep. Two hours up, 1 hour down, half an hour for lunch. 1 main vista with a couple of other nice views. The amount of signage was the best I've seen. Lots of criss cross trails so you can make it longer or shorter. Will definitely do again. Lots of off leash dogs, througout trail. Most well behaved. I wouldnt take a younger child on this hike for this reason. Aside from that perfect!

Nice easy trail, but lots of mountain bikes. Be prepared to move out of the way often.

Nice little loop to take my kids on

Epic MTB trail in winter and summer. Local favourite for bikers as strange brew has a super wicked descent.
Local bears frequent during the season, always carry bear spray. Cougars nearby as well season long.

Would have rated higher but for the mountain bikes

Well maintained. Relatively easy trial. Moderate climbs.

Awesome hike, pups had a great time being able to run and explore off leash.
We went at 1PM on Monday during the long weekend and it was actually nice and only a few bikers passed by. Definitely will go again! We took Ranger Summit up and Strange Brew down.
Strange Brew was a little soggy / muddy through the grassy areas

Awesome trails, love that my pups can be off leash!
Great hike took Ranger summit up and came back down with Strange Brew trail.
Took about 2 hours (Can take longer if you complete the full loop)

Was on the trail for 2 km to use between sugar momma and sugar daddy. Good switchbacks.

Went today and left the snowshoes in the car. Trail was well packed and with fresh snowfall there was no issues with mud or water as they warn about this late in the year.

A nice pretty walk. Not difficult but enough up and down that you still feel like you got a bit of a work out in.

A pleasant walk in the woods.

A good steady easy hike. I quite enjoyed this one. Lots of snow on ground but trail packed down and easily walkable. A couple spots to stop and have a light lunch. Ample parking lot.

definitely needed snow shoes today (17th Mar 2018). Nice hike through trees. we went anti clockwise and it felt like it was uphill all the way! if you can find the trail to go clockwise from the car park that might seem a bit easier. Definately a hike thats worth the effort though

Nice short hike/snowshoe. No big mountain views. Didn’t need snowshoes (ironically) route packed down. Go early to avoid crowds on weekends.

Great for beginners. It was snowing when we started and it was beautiful!

We went counter-clockwise up Ranger Summit then down along Strange Brew/Boundary Ridge. Despite recent heavy snow, the trail was icy in several spots and the snow was thin in tree-covered areas. Lots of roots and rocks that took away from an otherwise enjoyable trek. Signage wasn't great to get onto the trail but very clear once you're there. Less traffic than the north side trails in this area but still fairly popular.

Great starter trail, family friendly. We went counterclockwise starting at the parking lot - first half is more uphill than second but nothing too much for first-timers. Quieter than the other nearby trails though still a bit busy.

too icy to walk even with poles and crampons on November 29th so we picked a more sun exposed trail

Great way to spend 3-4 hours on a sunny Sunday afternoon afternoon. Trail is well maintained and well marked. Only complaint is there were not that many viewpoints, otherwise well worth it.

The parking lot is a disaster and is not very well labeled so we had to wander around a it to find this trail.
There are lots of maps along the way once you get started though which was helpful. Lots of trails in the area so definitely keep checking in with those maps!
We did Boundary Ridge-Strange Brew-Ranger Summit. The trail was nice and it was enjoyable but the views weren't anything spectacular. There weren't many hikers and mostly just mountain bikers.
It seems like Bragg Creek area is more for mountain biking than hiking.

Nice trail for an easy walk in the woods. Great for fat bike in winter!

Nice loop, not too steep, but no views to speak of. This would be a fantastic trail run.

Great easy hike through forested area. Trail starts out on Boundary Ridge which eventually turns into Strange Brew and can loop back on Ranger Summit (steeper, shorter trail). 2 hours up, 1 hour down. Lots of trails in the area, can't wait to go back and explore

What a great trail. The loop around through Ranger Summit was good. Wouldn't recommend starting up Ranger Summit as it is ascending quite aggressively.

poor signage. we were looking to do Alder trail but no signs to follow so this was a blend of Alder and powder connector and we turned around so not to get lost. great trail otherwise.

Beautiful scenery.

Came up boundary ridge, connected to strange brew.
Then returned through Ranger Summit.

Strange Brew was the best part.
We went up May long. Wasn't very busy up,
But Ranger summit was much more populated.

We hiked up boundary ridge and strange brew, came back on ranger summit.

The ranger summit portion was decent.
Pretty busy on May long.
No snow, very sunny.
A fellow hiker said there was snow and ice a week prior but it had all melted by now.

We really enjoyed this trail. As per the Alberta 'spring' we saw all 4 seasons in 3 hours. We parked on the right side of the road, in the parking area where the trails office is located. There are tons of trails to pick from, the one we picked starts over the bridge. (Our full walk we took is below.) The beginning of the trail is very icy so make sure you have crampons. The trails are very well signposted - one of the best we have been on.

There is a toilet block in the car park. Due to the massive amount of trails in this area you can swap and change paths a lot, depending on how you are feeling. Elevation is not difficult in the area we were in. Crampons were a most on this trail. Even if you think you don't need them anymore, you will!

The trail we took was relatively quiet, we only saw a handful of people.
