We have never come across with so many mountain bikers on any trail than this one. It was not fun at all. We were going counter clockwise and were passed by tens of bikers (I would guess close to hundred and it was Friday afternoon). All you can do every minute as turn the head 180 degrees and look if there is another biker behind. At the end of the trail I had a neck pain of constantly looking back. This is the first and last time we go on this trail in summer. We would better do it again in winter. I think every trail that starts at the parking lot is full of bikers as you could see almost every vehicle with bike racks. The trail itself is great but better find another one with no bikes on it.

Good start of season hike. Great for my dog who is learning to hike. Not sure if I took a wrong turn but my phone said I walked 17.7 kms not 13.3. Mountain bikers were very polite which is good because there’s lots of them. Trail was not muddy and in good condition, we hadn’t had rain for a few days though. I imagine a bit of rain could muddy it up quickly.

Did this trail this morning, took us about 3.5 hours with breaks and stops. TONS of bikers, dog friendly but easier when they are on leash while it's busy. Decently steep incline from either side but very easy to navigate.

Completed this hike yesterday with my partner. It was a great hike to warm up for the season with. We went clockwise around the loop, which is opposite to the direction that mountain bikers go, and there were lots of them, but that made it easier for us to see them coming and get out of the way. Got a little turned around at the farthest part of the loop - just had to go to the right at both forks seen in the path. Overall the path was dry when we were out there. Took us 3.5 hours total (including a lunch break).

Beautiful area as always. Got out before many people so nice and quiet. VERY muddy with some areas of trail under water. Feet are going to get wet without proper footwear.

4-Stars. Good trail condition, but lacking in views. Also have to contend with mountain bikers. We were out here on Sunday. The trail is still quite slick and muddy in sections. Manageable for the most part, but likely will come away a bit muddy until it dries up. We followed this route, heading up Ranger Summer, and then returns primarily along Strange Brew. This is a pretty easy hike with few incline sections that are steep, and lots of reprieve from the incline. There are a couple view points where you get a view of the surrounding hills through the tree, bit of mountains poking out here and there. The trails today were quite muddy and slick in places, involving a fair amount of walking on the edge of the trail. Great for people looking to get into hiking with some base fitness level, or looking to take newer people along. This route would be a bit long for a first time hiker, or someone with a low fitness level.

not too muddy (some rare sections are, but easy to deal with) almost alone; it was a good one!

trail is a little muddy but manageable!

Pretty much dried out except for a few minor sections on North facing slopes or where the trail was packed down by snowshoes or skis during the winter. A great early season choice to do with friends while remaining socially distanced.

Hiked this May 14. Nice easy hike with mild elevation balanced with flatter sections. Good hike for shoulder season while waiting for snow to melt in other areas. Trail was mostly dry; some muddy sections but nothing serious. The trail is marked pretty clearly. Not the greatest views since it's not above the treeline but if you like hikes through the forest this would be perfect. There are a few natural benches along the trail to stop for lunch. We only passed 4 people during the whole hike but it was a Thursday afternoon.

Good mountain bike ride, trails are not too busy in the evenings so it is easy to keep distance from others. Intermittent muddy patches throughout the whole trail, especially in shaded lower elevations. Still easily rideable, but don't expect to come back clean (if biking)! Few small remaining ice patches to watch out for on descents.

Great easy hike for the most part. Took 3.5 hours. The bottom bare with a bit of mud, the middle a lot of mud and snow and the top pack snow. No snowshoes or micro spikes needed just mucky and cold. But it was still a fun hike!!

Ran this, following Long Distance and Reconnect on the way out. Trails were wet and muddy, with water pooling at lower elevations on the return. 10-20 m long section of snow/ice remaining at the highest elevations.

Good to get out and hit the trail for an easy hike. Parking lot at trailhead was approximately 1/2 full. Considerable amount of runoff happening right now, so some sections of the trail is flowing water and other sections there is pooling water in low or flat areas. Some snow remains primarily in the north facing areas. We did see a few mountain bikes on the main multipurpose trails, however there are portable signs located at the trailheads indicating “no biking” at this time. We had a mix bag of weather - rain, sleet and sun. Nevertheless great to get out for a light hike.

Dog owners- you should be ashamed of yourselves. There is SO much dog poop at the trail head. Disgusting. Tried going counter clockwise and just couldn’t find the trail. Ended up in knee deep snow. Decided to wander around and found the trail that led clockwise and ended up completing the loop. Pretty boring. No views at all. I might consider running it (did a walk/run since I had a dog with me) but for a hike it was pretty boring. Prepare to get muddy. Nice amount of incline. I went Friday around 1030am and ran into 5 other people over the 11km I covered.

Perfect day out today. Trail is mostly dry, a few snow patches here and there but nothing deep. Quiet, nice view at the top and some other good spots on the way down. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a 2-3 hour walk through the forest to start out your hiking season.

Fairly good conditions. A few snowy spots only about ankle deep, and a bit of mud. Very manageable hike.

Goregous well marked trail. First half all gently uphill but then really pleasant downhill through woods. Great views of Rockies and the valleys. Just on the last part, stay out of Mountain Road since it's a ski only trail. Right next to it is a hiking trail. No special equipment needed for this one.

Another busy day of self isolation on the trail. People still not practising physical distancing of 2 metres. Appreciate and respect people want and need to be outside, but they still need to be cognizant of the requirements of mitigating the spread of the virus. Great conditions both trail and weather. Trail was getting muddier the closer you got to the parking lot. Good views of Moose Mountain on the ascent from Ranger Summit trail. Other great views were from Baruch’s corner! Spikes are still necessary at this time particularly on the descent via Strange Brew and Boundary Ridge (North) trails.
