This is a beautiful hike.

Hiked this in March, lots of snow on the ground still which made it more of a challenge. Did it a second time but came in through the campground side with the family.

Such a beautiful trail. I did this hike in August of 2017 right before the Kenow fire burned it's way through Waterton Park. this trail offers such unique views of Waterton National Park, Glacier National Park and Akamina Provincial Park. Would definitely suggest ascending on the Forum Lake side of the trail and descending on the Wall Lake side. An absolutely stunning hike. This is a difficult trail, but it's not so hard to discourage a reasonably in shape person. Most of the hike is on top the ridge at high elevation. 10/10 would recommend.

I went around the loop trail, around the whole mountain, the other side is a lot more difficult but the scenery is absolutely amazing, forests upon rivers upon fields of flowers, would definitely recommend this trail for anyone who enjoys the pure beauty of nature!

I've done this hike three times now, love the views from the top. It is one of my favorite hikes in Waterton.
I will have to do this again, once they open the trail again, to see how different it looks after the Kenow fire of 2017.

Gorgeous trail! Easy flat hike, beautiful scenery.

I have done parts of this hike and wanted to do the ridge this year but it looks like it will be closed for 2018 due to last year's fire

Highway closed to cars this year after the fire, 2018. this was a favorite hike and place to swim. I think they are allowing access to pedestrians and bicycles

Easy trail which comes to a fork to head up to Vimy Peak. Made it part ways up but too much snow. Beauty of a day though!

Pretty basic trail. Extremely icy there lately, which takes away some of the fun. Try it in the spring and I'm sure the flowers/new growth would gain it another star. Just a so so winter hike.

Good hike, not very strenuous. Next time I'll bring my fishing rod.

Went as far as Wall Lake, good place have lunch and enjoy the view.

Took us 6 hours to do the whole loop with a few breaks. Amazing views from the top. Would definitely recommend a light jacket for the ridge as the wind can be chilling.

We just did the into Forum Lake and back to the parking lot portion of this hike. May try the full circle another time.
We went mid July and the bugs were pretty thick so bring bug spray. After Forum Falls you climb for a while to the lake. The lake is beautiful and the falls are awesome too.

some scramble and steep paths but do-able for fit people, I walked with kids ages 3-10 and mom, exceptional kids. This trail is for experienced hikers, bring poles and warm clothes for mountain weather, as well as cleats for early and late season

One of the most beautiful hikes I've ever done. Lots of gorgeous wild flowers, amazing views. The only downside is a very strong wind at the top, that blows you away

amazing. one of the best. a light jacket would be good for the top. It does get pretty windy. also take the left route first as the climb up is way better then the climb down. but the views are so worth it.

We love doing this trail as our beginning and end of season hikes! It has a very convenient shelter so if it snows you have a place to dry off!

Best views on any hike I've done. We did more than just this section though, we started at Red Rock parking area and went to Goat Lake for the night. Then on to Twin Lakes the second night. When we departed the following morning for the last stretch back to Red Rock parking area we had the most spectacular views! Looking down you could see both lakes and then cross over snow capped mountains and through lush meadows. There were rivers and waterfalls, it was stunning. It was 31-35 km total loop and bikes couldn't do the last 1/3 of the loop (we climbed over at least 4 trees! And went up some very steep inclines)

Han Solo'd part of the Waterton Triple Crown today: Akamina Awesome Ridge!

I faced my archenemy (the wind) along the ridge - I would compare it to 2 titans fighting for survival... it was glorious and graceful.

I definitely recommend this hike if you haven't tried it yet.

Tips:
- Remember a windbreaker for the ridge.
- I used the AllTrails app for guidance (it helped).
- It also seemed better to take the Forum Lake way around for ascending/descending.

Unless you're going camping in the campground or fishing, no reason to do this trail. It's short not challenging with not much to see.

Disappointing but a ✔️ off the list

Great trail. We went late April. Still a lot of snow. I recommend continuing towards the campground to get to the lakeside with some shore to explore. Skipping rocks and some BBQ areas and only a few min farther.

Our first Of the three Triple Crown Challenge. One of the best trails, we did the Forum Lake trail, up through the ridge, and down to Wall Lake and back to the road.

Did this hike in about 8.5 hours today. Scenery was beautiful with the leaves just starting to change. Views up at the lake are stunning.

I wouldn't rate it as easy, more like moderate.
