on Bear's Hump

The hike itself is nothing spectacular, just lots of switchbacks. What really makes this hike worthwhile is the amazing view of Waterton Lake and the townsite. Absolutely stunning view and well worth the time and effort!

Due to the Kenow fire in September 2017 this trail is closed until further notice.

A steep walk but fairly short hike. Worth the view at the top.
Children can climb it. Family friendly
Any tourist to the area should make the climb just for the view alone; it is spectacular.

Highway closed to cars this year after the fire, 2018. this was a favorite hike and place to swim. I think they are allowing access to pedestrians and bicycles

Easy trail which comes to a fork to head up to Vimy Peak. Made it part ways up but too much snow. Beauty of a day though!

A must see, short and sweet.

Pretty basic trail. Extremely icy there lately, which takes away some of the fun. Try it in the spring and I'm sure the flowers/new growth would gain it another star. Just a so so winter hike.

Big short steep hike up to the top. Tiring, but once you are up there you have a postcard picture of the amazing lake and mountains of Waterton. Highly recommend

Fantastic views all the way along the trail. Trail is paved and perfect for walking, biking, strollers, wheelchairs etc. You can take the path from near the park entrance, all the way down into the townsite.

Shorter hike but definitely a good workout, great views.

A good place to spend a warm sunny afternoon playing around on the rocks and in the water. A fun place for kids to explore.

Short but very rewarding view at top. Don't miss!

Its a short but hard hike in the holy-cow-I-can't-breath sense (not technical). View was worth it and we saw people of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels do it. Just take your time and enjoy the reward at the top.

Very easy hike. Nice little falls, it's only viewed from platforms though.

At 100m of elevation for each km it's quite a woorkout for the kids. Nice panoramic view of Waterton from the top though.

Kids have a blast walking the canyon bottom. We even came back the next day and did it again but with crocs on.

Quick hike and the views are gorgeous. Gives you a 360 degree view. Really windy on top so hold onto your hats! I HIGHLY recommend.

Paved walk around the canyon. Even more fun to venture down into the canyon. You can even take a stroller all the way around this one.

Great quick family friendly hike, my son had been doing this hike with me since he was four. Steep but not for long before you are rewarded with the breathtaking view overlooking the waterton townsite.

We love doing this trail as our beginning and end of season hikes! It has a very convenient shelter so if it snows you have a place to dry off!
