Recently expanded so it is bigger and doesn't match the map on this app. but there are maps posted at the trail head on Rr 231 and at the beginning of the add on connecting it to Fort Saskatchewan. the trail is very easy with some beautiful views of the river and wildflowers. A tone of wildlife so keep an eye on children and small pets.

Very disappointed as well!!!! The trail starts in the middle of no where and ends in the middle of no where. It is not maintained---most of it you cannot even tell it is a trail. It doesn't appear to come anywhere close to Fort Saskatchewan. There was only 3 brief areas where you could see the river. Stathcona County you fail big time if this is your idea of a contribution to the TransCanada Trail!!!!???? NO STARS the review forced me to give a star to post.

Very disappointed.

Happy with the trail and terrain; there's enough variation with hills and flatter areas for a good workout! Did this trail in hiking boots and didn't have any problem, even in deep snow, although I would recommend snowshoes for sure when it's that deep. Definitely going to do this again!

Just completed this trail with a 10 year old as a 5 year old. Easy, packed trail. Eagles nest was active! Markers along the trail are nice. Did route A-B-C, which was only 5.5km. Kid friendly, easy trail. Recommended!

Completed north side of trail that went from parking lot to the bridge and across. Dog friendly, as I travel with my pet kid. Trail had some snow which was icy and then large areas of water making it difficult to get around. Still enjoyed walk and look forward to walking it again when snow fully melted.

This was the first time exploring this trail. It is a great walk on a warm winter day! Good boots a must! The trail was well packed for walking, snowshoes or X-country skiers. However, deeper snow is just off the main path and can make walking more challanging. Wonderful and numerous animal tracks everywhere(but did not see many animals this day). Great views of the river and some hearty ducks that have found some open water to paddle in. We were able to find the eagle nest and many others along the path. Looking forward to a revisit in the warmer months.
