One of the most memorable hikes I've done. Incredible views on the ridge. We weren't able to make it the whole way along the ridge as the wind as extremely strong. Beautiful hike the whole way!

We didn’t make it to the very top as the wind picked up the higher we got and the weather was starting to turn, but what we saw was memorable. We then managed to lose the trail coming back down.

super scary sidewinding parts

Did this hike on a sunrise (June 2 2018). Started hiking at 3am ish from the trailhead parking. We somehow managed to sneak in the parking lot (It said it was closed). Got up to the start of the ridge when the sun rose and it was amazing! Highly recommended for sunrise. We had the ridge all to ourselves!

Would do this hike again, but it is definitely not hard. I made it up to the flag in well under 2 hours without pushing myself. Great views at the top. most of the hike is in the trees. A slow and consistent steady climb. I found Prairie Mountain much more of a challenge.

Ended up here by accident today after getting lost trying to find Ford Knoll Loop

Tried to do this today and somehow ended up climbing Powderface instead haha

The trail is not really marked and I was relying on AllTrails. Unfortunately my GPS shut itself off for a bit and when it came back on is when we realized we were on the completely wrong trail. Worked out ok because the hike was beautiful, just wasn't what we had planned. May try this one again and be more careful with my route finding.

very manageable elevation gain since it was spaced out, and good variety of tree covered/scramble/climbing. there was a little bit of snow on the trail that was still melting but nothing up on the ridge. the ridge is quite long, and it was very windy up top so bringing layers is a good idea. Got pretty busy coming down at around 1:00pm. in all, the views on the ridge are panoramic and well worth it! definitely would recommend

Beautiful vistas. Trail no overly well marked.

Nice views, definitely go up clockwise per map.

Did this trail yesterday. Parking lot is currently closed for upgrades, so you have to park on highway and walk in. Very poor signage. Have never been to this area before, we walked right past the trail head and ended up at the bridge. Crossed the river and finally found a sign and realized we walked right past the trail head for this hike. We finally found our way to the trail and once on it, it was great. Good steady incline. Because of the poor signage our 5km hike ended up being over 12...oh well

This trail start is a good 3 K walk from the parking lot. The start is inside a campground and it starts going uphill and feels like it never stops. Some real scrambling and very stretchy on one mountainside. Yes the views are amazing from the top but it’s a lot of work and a bit dangerous for my liking to get to the top. Much nicer hikes around this area to do. This is my least favourite.

loved it! Some parts are extremely steep, many ways up, you can chose to climb or hike up. on the way back I took a "shortcut" and decided to try and stay on the ridge until far down the trail and climb down part of the rock. I soon realised I bite off more than I could chew so I climbed back up and looked up to find an old native man who told me if I followed the ridge further down there was an easy rock latter to get down which was great and and made it so I can avoid the steep section

Nihahi was my third hike and it was a tough one but boy was the view worth It! I recall it taking us 2.5 hrs give or take. mind you it was a really hot day. I definitely want to do it again only this time go more prepared as we ran out of water going up

About the final chance to get up here before the winter gates shut. Higher you get, the deeper the snow, just up to the high point and flag. Looking forward to developing this one in the summer to make a big loop. Completely on our own all day, so feels pretty wild.

Not very hard at all. A little bit of a grind off the start, but no biggie. Not very technically challenging either. I'm thinking who ever decided this would be rated difficult may have had one leg. Nice views up top. Moose Mountain, Prairie Mountain, Forgetmenot Ridge, Nihahi Ridge are all clearly seen from here. Any of which would have been a better choice. This may be good for trail runners, if that's your thing.

I found that the squirrels were quite loud and seemed to be quite angry. I don't speak squirrel, but I would assume what they were saying was less than polite. My dog understands squirrel contextually at best, and was quite offended. I would recommend going elsewhere for this reason if you have small children or have a sensitivity to vulgarity.

A great trail that really doesnt have an end. You can hike down this ridgeline quite far.

4 stars because this trail can be busy but the views are still excellent. Once you get to the ridge, it also doesnt really matter how far you go.

Absolutely stunning views! The trail isn’t too hard to get up, and while it is steep the elevation gain is spread out and I found it manageable. The views from the top of the ridge let you see all the way down the valley and it was definitely worth it!

Best done in dry conditions I couldn’t reach the top cause it was pretty slick from melting snow but will go back for the great views. Didn’t seem as long and steep as listed either. Would be nice if the day use area was on the other side of the campground though

I didn't much like this trail. It's a long walk through the campground to even get to the trail head and it's all up hill from there with tons of scrambling with some actual climbing. Was exhausted when reached the top which took away a little from the beauty of where I was.

I found this hike very difficult, but manageable. There are some very steep parts. But the views are amazing. Going down I really had to watch my footing and really didn't get to enjoy the view. Make sure you stop every once in a while and look around!

Satisfying hike. Did this trail before I downloaded the app.

Nice day hike, not difficult and not too overcrowded. Was surprised at number of people who bike this trail! Continue on from Prairie Loop to Powderface Ridge for some nice views of the surrounding area in all directions!

Long hiked, very windy on the top but super amazing view. Some part is steep but everyone can do it. Highly recommended!

Beautiful view

Great hike, would do it again. Lots of small
Trails so it was kind of difficult to find our way but it still took us up to the top. Saw a bear eating berries on our way down.

This was my very first hike. Loved the views from the top of the ridge. Worth the 2 hours it took to hike up.
