Great views! Hailed on our way down which added to the unforgettable experience.

Amazing! Beautiful views all the way along. Great diversity in terrain and incline. Hot day- decent tree coverage though for most of it! Lots of great spots to rest along the way and enjoy the view.

nice hike !! the view is beautiful.

Relatively easy walk to the flag, I think it goes on for a while longer but I didn’t have time. Also a nice trail for horses if you have!

Super swell views and a great workout. Bit steep in some parts but nothing crazy

Great views. Would rate this trail as difficult with how steep it is, the scree and the length. Just my opinion!

Beautiful hike! Lots of scenic stops on the way up. Gradual incline so not too difficult until you get below the ridge and then you scramble up. Coming down from the ridge you have to watch your footing with the areas of scree and steep decline. Gorgeous day!! Would do again and go further along the ridge next time. I recommend being on the trail by 8am to avoid traffic.

Did this on July 6/18. Fairly easy hike with no exposure. Nice views. Lots of options for little side trips to other lookout points.

Fairly steep for 3/4 of the way up. Last 1/4 to ridge/summit not as bad. Took 3 hours round trip from parking to south summit with a 3 year old. Great views.

spent all day Saturday June 30 down big elbow trail looking for geos, some areas have washed up, first bridge is gone, made it to Tombstone Backcountry Campground stayed the night =)

Night stay at Tombstone Campgrounds journeyed down Little Elbow Trail July 1st, very beautiful, nice going down the mountain the up =)

Great hike!! Views are lovely most of the way up!

I would classify this hike as moderate, it’s definitely not hard. The first little bit is kind of a slog. Great views at the top and lots of forest walking and mountain flowers. Easily done in 2 hours

A nice, fairly easy hike. Some nice views and a couple inclines, not overly stressful.

Enjoyed the varied terrain, good views on the way up but no real summit at which to picnic.

Great hike, pretty busy however, but really great views.

Great hike! Trails are well defined. I wouldn't say it was a hard hike. The uphill in the beginning was moderately strenuous but doable.

Great hike! Very scenic and beautiful views. However, I would not consider this hike as hard. It is a bit steep at the beginning, but nothing any novice hiker couldn't tackle and it can be easily done without hiking poles.

From the bugging to top is uphill only. It was good exercise and too of the Mountain View is beautiful. I will go back there again.

Beautiful views, the last 1/3rd of the trail is a bit anticlimactic though.

Great views the entire hike. A nice mix of trees and open rock

One of the most memorable hikes I've done. Incredible views on the ridge. We weren't able to make it the whole way along the ridge as the wind as extremely strong. Beautiful hike the whole way!

Didn’t make it all the way to the end of the trail, just to the top/beginning of the ridge which becomes a meadow of sorts. At the beginning of June, there weren’t many flowers yet. Perhaps later in the season. Had to do a bit of bushwacking as the trailhead/forgetmenot pond area/parking lot was closed for construction. Quite a few river/stream crossings so this trail is better done on a hot day so you’ll dry off faster. Pack water shoes if you have them. Many of the rocks are very slippery. Very steep incline. Mostly rocky. Lots of exposure. You’ll want a hat. Neat, unique shaped rocks to see & lookout for “the wind chime tree.” Nice view of forgetmenot pond at the top. Was very windy.

We didn’t make it to the very top as the wind picked up the higher we got and the weather was starting to turn, but what we saw was memorable. We then managed to lose the trail coming back down.

super scary sidewinding parts

Did this hike on a sunrise (June 2 2018). Started hiking at 3am ish from the trailhead parking. We somehow managed to sneak in the parking lot (It said it was closed). Got up to the start of the ridge when the sun rose and it was amazing! Highly recommended for sunrise. We had the ridge all to ourselves!

Would do this hike again, but it is definitely not hard. I made it up to the flag in well under 2 hours without pushing myself. Great views at the top. most of the hike is in the trees. A slow and consistent steady climb. I found Prairie Mountain much more of a challenge.

Ended up here by accident today after getting lost trying to find Ford Knoll Loop
