Easy trail, meanders through the woods

Spectacular 360 view from the top

LOTS of mountain bikers, making it really hard to have any sort of a peaceful walk, and there must be a shooting range nearby, because all we could hear was gunshots the entire time. Not planning on coming back. Oh well, off to the next one.

easy first hike of the year. Icy in some spots and muddy in others, this was expected at this time of year. We took a wrong turn at the campground and ended up walking the road for a bit. Otherwise it was nice

BRING CRAMPONS!!! In the early spring more then 50% of the full lope was ice, 35% mud, and only 15% dry. Dips between the hill that have run off flowing through were extremely slippery with glossy ice covering both sides. However that trail is hike-able with some diversion. With waterproof footwear and a good pair of crampons, the trail is enjoyable.

A pleasant walk in the woods. Note that the full loop is about 9km - but you have the option to shorten it at the halfway point. We usually start this at the pinetop parking lot, but there are multiple access points.

Not a 'classic' hike by any description, but it is a perfect beginner location for those that would like to get into hiking - a step above walks on paved paths.

Trail is signed and easily followed with no route finding challenges. The portion on the south side of Hwy 68 is more interesting with its views over the jumping pound creek gorge but tends to hold snow/ice/mud longer in the spring and earlier in the fall.

Good easy hike - smaller hills, a lot of woods. Would wear pants next time, a lot of tall grass.

Very easy, short hike. Nice views at the top. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quick hike or something that isn't too strenuous.

Rooty for biking if you don't have suspension, but a really nice trail for an intermediate distance and elevation skill level.

One to try!! Rode this April 2,2016 had the trail all to ourselves. We did it clockwise to the south side. Good warm up, before hitting the north side or pine top for the ups and downs may challenge your cardio. The south side had some muddy and icy section but added to the fun. I enjoyed this ride and will definitely head back! There is some pretty views of the river and mountains.
