Took the steep way first. Signage in the area says that leg of the trail is black diamond rated. Not easy at all, steep, rocky, narrow ridge. Would not recommend taking kids. Worth it though once you get to the top and see the view. Rest of the hike was fairly easy with a beautiful treed trail.

It's a nice, easy hike and you can add a bit of distance by incorporating some of the longer (~35km) hike. It's a good one for kids or with companions who aren't used to hiking. The color of the lakes...so blue your friends will think that the pictures were edited.

The view from the top is 360 degrees of amazing. The snow is mostly gone now, so getting to the top isn't tough at all.

Really enjoyed this trail. A few ups and downs in the terrain, but nothing terribly challenging. Was just the right distance for me, my wife, and our 8mo old. A few good picturesque views along the way, particularly by the first, third, fourth, and fifth lakes.

good trail, still some large patches of snow at the top, some postholing but generally manageable. completed the loop in approx 3 hrs

Great and short hike to start off the day.sadly we did not see any moose but we met someone who did. You should do the hike early

What a wonderful hike. Defenetly bring your swimming stuff as the lakes are just incredible and just beg for a swim. We did the hike on a very warm and sunny day in May. The trail itself was in a very good condition.

Amazing view, a few loose rocks on the trail so be careful coming down. The trail is the smaller path on the left and then once you reach a fork in the road take the right trail and then you’ll see a wooden sign with “Morro Peak” on it then just keep following that trail and you’ll make it.

Done this hike twice now love it. took 8hrs lots of loose rock when close to top which makes it hard coming down. great views. easy to follow trail.

Awesome mixture of inclines, starts easy & gets steep. Minimal scrambling although there is a lot of loose rock at the approach to the summit. Amazing 360 degree views! I reached the summit in 2hrs 17mins & was stopping to take photos along the way.

Great views. Some snow still up top. Couldn’t find the trail but still a lovely trail!

Easy to navigate. The elevation gain definitely dusted off the cobwebs from last season. Great views.

Tough for an out of shape oldie like me but I almost made it to the summit. Got above the tree line and had to watch my buddy hike the rest of the way up. Took me about 5 hours round trip. I was happy to soak in the hot springs that evening. Lots of goats and even a black bear in camp with her cub.

We did this trail and it was a really good hike. There was a sign at the bottom which said its not recommended to do the trail because of snow. The little snow that there was at the upper third was totally fine. We started early and it was a beautiful sunny day.

Very scenic trail. Had to stop many times on the way up to take in the views. Snow areas started about 3/4 of the way up. Doable with just hiking boots but bring the poles. The snow disappears at the last scramble to the top. Highly recommend going all the way up!

Loved it! We just did it this last may long weekend and it was awesome! Very easy trail to follow and an amazing view. Only downside was when we went, some snow was starting to melt so we were stomping through some mud and it was quite slippery! But over all, it was a lot of fun!

We did this trail on May 19/18 and was absolutely amazing.

Good challenge with the steep elevation gain. However waist deep snow near the top(Im 6’5)
And trail is not clearly marked
May 20

The road to it was challenging. Rough and hard on your vehicle. Don’t do it in a sedan!!!
However, once there, it was a nice , easy hike with modest elevation gain. Will backpack there to spend a few night next time. The lake is beautiful!

Great hike. Beautiful views.

Amazing trail with great views. The road up is closed however for Summer 2018. So if you plan on doing this hike plan on hiking the 12 kilometers up the road to the Edith Cavell parking lot just to get to the trailhead. We went this May long weekend 2018 intending to do the hike but were turned away because the roads closed. Luckily there's lots of other hikes in Jasper

Easy hike for mostly everyone with spectacular views. Also a great hike in the winter months when you can explore the falls when frozen!

It's such an amazing hike!!! Mid May and there was a lot of snow from the km 4 until the 5.5. More people than expected was hiking the trail. When we hit the deep snow we thought about turning back, but we saw some people pushing hard so we kept going, and it was totally worth it. The snow made it harder, but better of a challenge. Be ready to get wet and enjoy the amazing views :).

Busy until the 4th bridge but good afterwards, it was fun, our 5yo walked mo problem

Difficult to find the trailhead in the springtime/ when waters at the base are higher. Moderate to the treeline then difficult to the top.

I have done this trail 3 times now in different seasons and weather !! Winter, spring and in the high heat of summer and it’s been beautiful every time.
It’s very icy in the winter and you can walk the ice along the falls and in the summer it’s a beautiful teal water and a nice hot hike to get your sweating as the trail is up and down hills the whole time. Easily about 1 hr 45 to 2 hrs.
Fave hike and a must do !!

First time was on May 1 2018 and it was a great time. Started the day with overcast but by noon it was 20c and sunny.
Will definitely be back soon.

We did this hike in early May and it was COVERED in snow. The first 2/3 were manageable but it was waist-deep for the last 1/3 with no other tracks to follow. It made for a lot of falling and funny moments but was very slow going (about 6 hours hike time - at least double what it would normally take).

Everyone ahead of us turned around when the snow got too deep but I’m glad we pushed through it. The views were worth it! I’m looking forward to trying it again in the summer or fall.

If you’re doing this hike in spring, bring snowshoes!

Amazing views, steep in a couple spots but overall very easy trail, lots of good spots to get some amazing shots of the turquoise blue lakes. 100% worth it to take 2 hours out of your day for.
