Hoards of mosquitos, mud and blow down trees over the trail. The North section of this trail (Wapiti) is used for trail riding and the horses have cut up the trail in the mud and made it almost impassable on foot. I wouldn't recommend this until freeze up. There is a spot where the water is over the trail on the North East section of trail. The beavers have dug out a dangerous ditch under the water, its about three feet deep, I found out the hard way. Its nice they have placed outhouses and shelters with stoves in them at important intersections on the trail. Saw three owls, a yellow finch, and lots and lots of Fritillary and Sulpher butterflie

This was a great trail. some bugs some bush and some fun along the way. Did the short route as time was a factor but the options out here for other trips is endless.

Nice views. Little muddy in some spots but very manageable. Lots of wildlife tracks and frogs. Bring your bug spray for those mosquitoes though!

Great condition throughout. Not a lot scenic spots, but a pleasant and easy walk through trees. Diverse birdsong. Lots of mosquitoes, so bring bug spray.

Nicely maintained trails

The trail was good and clear. Not many people on the trail. Part of the trail system was closed due to flooding, bridge damage and beaver damage.

This is a pretty basic trail, as I got off the main trail right off the bat, I walked closer to the shore of the lake, something you can’t do if there isn’t any ice to walk on, it’s March 20th. This trail is Recommended to stretch your legs and to feel relaxed. Didn’t encounter any large wildlife except a few squirrels, geese and other small birds.
