Sept 4 2019 Road to get here was a little rough, but worth it. You get to a round about with lookout where you can see a map of the area. You will want to take the west trail. Trail is a moderate uphill right from the beginning. At the top you will have an easy walk along the ridge. Beautiful views. Took 2 hours total. Septic tank toilets at the parking lot. No water or hand sanitizer.

Went part of the way towards the climb of the first peak but saw a significant amount of grizzly tracks and digging, quite a bit were recent (1-2 days). Given that we decided to play it safe and turned back to complete Cadomin Divide just to get a decent conditioning hike in. Hope to come back earlier in the season next year on a less cloudy day.

Very enjoyable hike, fantastic views for very little physical effort. The drive there is a bit of an adventure in and of itself that’s for sure! But worth it in my opinion. Would definitely do this one again.

magnificent open views. Coming in we saw Bighorn Sheep, elk, and a bobcat. Be prepared to meet grizzly bears. We encountered one and sighted 2 more.

Huge payoff for a relatively straightforward hike. What a cool formation!

Fun little warm up hike with tons of scenic views. The drive out was pretty rough though.

The drive out is on the a very rocky and rough road. The trail head begins at the Cadomin trail. We took this all the way to the end before cutting off. There isn't really a defined trail to Tripoli but you have long open views of everything so it's tough to get lost. After we cut around we followed the rocky gully up to the ridge line and followed that all the way across to Tripoli Peak. The peak is up a couple of short but very exposed scrambles. This was a very enjoyable trail with fantastic views all the way up and down!

Good conditions, but a bit windy. Almost no snow left going up the ridge. There were a few spots at the top that require a little snow walking, but nothing more than ankle deep.

we did this hike October 23, the trail was 90 percent covered with snow, but it was great otherwise. the hike felt short and the view was extremely well worth it. You really should beware of the drive through Cadomin from Hinton however.... it was mostly rough gravel roads. no service really. make sure you have a reliable vehicle and stay out of the way of all the miner vehicles. but still worth it.

The trail consists of a rocky path through a partially grassy partially treed area on a rolling hill to the base of mountain. I would have scored it higher but I had seen a black bear on the trail and had to turn back sooner then wanted. Black bears typically don’t go out of there way to bug you unless there’s cubs around, however it’s never a good idea to approach them.

A fast and easy hike for an amazing payoff. Rough gravel roads to get in to the lookout (a truck or suv is recommended). We took the west trail which leads through an alpine meadow at a steady incline to the summit above the tree line overlooking the whole valley! Took about an hour one way. The entire trail was rocky so sturdy hiking boots are a must.
