Still covered with a bit of ice, the lake was still beautiful.

we stopped several times to take pics and play with the rocks, even with the 3 year old pace we did it in under 2h

early walk in the morning with friends so great, love the nature so much!

Awesome trail for a quick hike. The views are rewarding.

Steep, but rewarding. Snow free all the way to the top, and almost no mud. Took us about 1.5 hours up, a little less down (my hiking partner was a bit uncomfortable on the downhills; realistically it's 40-60 minutes down). Come early! The parking lot was almost empty when we hit the trail at 10, and PACKED when we left at 1:30.

Completed May 21, 2018. Easy half day hike. No scrambling. Dog friendly. Plan to have lunch at the top, the rocks and old foundation wall make for a great seat while eating and enjoying the views at the lookout. We were 1.5 hrs up and down in about 40 mins.

Excellent hike, good trails, dry, well marked, Ink Pools very rewarding, lots of opportunities to get great pics.
16 kms round trip.

Fairly easy trail and worth the effort for the view at the end

Went there yesterday on May Long and overall a nice trail with gradual climb at the beginning, but still quite muddy and about half way in there began to have a good amount of snow. People walked out a slightly hard packed snow path but it is easy to step an inch or two off the path and get yourself into some knee deep snow so be prepared to bring extra socks because they will likely get wet on your way in & out.

May 18, 2018 mud and snow with a little dry spots. I would recommend to get some grip-ons, just to make it safer. However, my friends were in skateboard sneakers and they have completed the trail.

Nice views but a little touristy.

Great hike. Good elevation and awesome views of Banff and surrounding area.

Great little hike. I would recommend going early to beat the crowds. Wouldn’t be a bad trail to run either

It was a nice hike hike...easy though

Incredible scenery!

Very busy. Not really a true hike since they are paved but still a very pretty walk with lots of great views.

First time on Tunnel, great little hike! Dry and busy. Amazing views

Took our 10 month old up in the pack and it was the perfect trail for that. Not overly exerting and great views. Very accessible and well maintained trails.

First time hiking tunnel mountain. It was a Friday evening at 6:30, the sky was clear and very little breeze with a temp of about 12c. It was prefect. Looked out to the east at the mountain range, Bow river and Lake Loiuse golf course. It was less than a hour with quick breaks. There’s a sitting area with two chairs but go further to the rock slab. Beautiful view. Had a nice snack and others took our group picture. The walk down took 25 minutes. Prefect hike.

Walked this trail several times in different seasons. Last time the lake was frozen.
Always a beautiful walk!

Great place to go for a few hours. Nothing overly difficult. Very busy most days

The path is paved so I can't call it a hike.
However, for visiting friends or those not wanting something strenuous it is a nice walk to the falls.
However, if you want to skip the crowds, go up to the Ink Pots.

A really good beginner to moderate hike

5/17 would recommend crampons. Great hike!

This hike was the longest I’ve been on so far but completely worth it. My 4 and 6 yr old also did this hike with me as well as our dog. It slowed us down a big but it’s so worth it! Once you reach the top you can keep going down another path and climb onto and behind a water fall!

Amazing canyon to hike through. The mountains, falls and ink pots are all must sees. Not too difficult and the trail is well maintained. Bring plenty of water and trail snacks. Enjoy the beauty within these Northern Rockies!
