Beautiful path, ideal for short legs when traveling on the Icefields Parkway. Not too demanding, overwhelming views of the glacier. It took us about two and a half hours to get there and back. No break because it was just too cold and very windy ...

Great trail, and great views on August 17th!! We didn't do the whole course set out here. We first made a stop at Lake Agnus teahouse, before hitting Big Bee Hive. Stunning views from the top! Then worked our way back down, and walked the river back to the Fairmont. Bee Hive is a must do for anyone hitting the Lake Louise area.

This is not a completed hike. We made it up to the long stretch before Sentinel Pass, but decided to pack it in on the Temple hike, as it was raining throughout the whole morning, that would have made the scramble part of the hike pretty dangerous & no views at summit. So we decided to go back and try the Wenkchemna Pass trail. Still raining as we continue up the trail until we got to an area before Eiffel Lake, a grizzly & 2 cubs where just below the trail, we got a little closer to take a better look, that’s when she started coming our way, we quickly left.

This is mostly a mountain biking trail. Super wide track and considered an easy bike trail with the exception of a couple technical hills. It’s down hill Canmore to Banff and ends up at the hotel in Banff. Seen bears several times but no issues with them. I would not hike it but certainly bike or trail run for distance.

Great trail, tons of fun. View would have been better without clouds, but the feeling of being up there was worth it. August 13th, 2019.

It was nice hike. I started early in the morning, by 6:30 parking was full and people was going for the hikes. It was very fogy in the morning, so almost no views. I went to Little Beehive first, the stopped at Tea house to warm up with cup of tea (it’s pretty cheap, but they accept only cash). It was a q there, waited at least for 30 min. But I had no rush as it was still fogy. Once sun came out and sky cleared, I went to Big Beehive. Pretty nice views. But for most stunning views after Beehive before turning down, I went to Devils thumb. It’s around 45-60 min up. But the views are amazing!!! And not do many people, as there is actually no sign.

08/13/19 Great Hike! Took the crew 9 hours total and every hour had something great in store. Make sure to get to lake maurine parking lot by 5 am. If you come later you are probably going to have to turn around. Two sections of scrambling. Other than that make sure you are in good shape. Equipment: Hiking shoes (MUST) Hiking poles (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) Water /Food (DRINK AND EAT LOTS) Clothes (BE FLEXIBLE, PREPARE FOR RAIN, wind and steadily dropping temp GLOVES) Helmet (I DIDN’T USE ONE BUT PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE TO PREVENT ROCKS FROM FALLING ON MY HEAD) Happy hiking, Nich

Very enjoyable couple of hours whilst on the parkway and tremendous views of the glacier. Did this with my two sons and we spotted a rather large roving animal that we’ve deduced might of been wolverine and on rocks above the tree line. It made this hike even more interesting and distance didn’t permit any photos but the binoculars gave us a good view.

easy , bit boring great views at the end. mainly used for bikes and horses , would recommend doing a different one.

Incredible views for little work. Nice hike if you want time for other stuff in the day. Ends somewhat abruptly. Heavily trafficked. The Parker Ridge West Peak route is worth heading up to see a fossilized seabed scattered all along the top... very interesting.

We arrived at 6am in the main parking lot. After seeing the sunrise hit the glacier & some of the water we started the hike at 7am. It was hard at the beginning w/ 3 long stretches of constant climbing up. It got better once we made the tea house, we didn’t stop for food there due to it being super busy at 9am. We followed the trail on Lake Agnes to the next big climb. This one was switchbacks , I had to stop a few times to catch my breath but I’m 40# overweight so an average hiker could do it. Once we made the top of big beehive the views were amazing! The sun was higher in the sky at 10am. We hiked down towards lake Louise shoreline that was not bad all heading down just trying to focus not tripping on plant roots or rocks. It’s a fun hike great views of lake Louise the valley and glaciers. I’d suggest leave early to avoid the hot sunshine on the descent , the climb was in the shady trees.

I went counterclockwise and it seems like the way to go. Gradual incline up to Lake Agnes and then some steep switchbacks up to the beehive. Great descent back to Lake Louise. Definitely recommend!

Really pretty hike but the crowds make it difficult to fully enjoy it. Feels way too commercialized

Great view over the valley and glacier. A good trail for all levels.

Was awesome to go @7 pm and have Mirror and Agnes Lakes to ourselves. Gorgeous

Super amazing hike. Well worth the time and effort to go all the way around the loop. Parking really sucks so get there early. Parking was full by 7:00am. There is an overflow you can use but it will cost extra and you have to wait until 8:20am for the first departure if you are at the front of the line otherwise you will wait there as well. Other options include a bus from Banff $8 or call a cab. Great view from Big Beehive and I also continued up Devil’s Thumb. Long day with both treks but truly amazing.

The steep part at the beginning lead to an amazing view on Saskatchewan glacier after just a short hike. A must if in the Icefield Parkway area.

The hike was beautiful!! Many great picture moments. The tea house is amazing, but only takes cash. The shuttle service to Lake Louise was very poorly organized. We stood in line just as long to get to the lake and back to our car as we did on the mountain. Put a disappointment feeling in the day.

Once you reach the mountain and clear the switchbacks, multiple routes exist. Pick one that suits you. The summit ridge is partially covered in snow, but it is easy to walk around those patches. The summit itself is completely covered in deep snow, but there are many footsteps you can use. Microspikes would be ideal but not required. Don't stand too close to the edge; it's hard to tell whats a cornice. Descent was tough on my knees.
