Huayna Potosí is one of the most popular mountains in the Cordillera Real since it is located near the city of La Paz (it is also said that thanks to this it is possible to acclimatise more easily to the elevation). On its normal route of ascent, it is a fairly direct glacial route, although rocky and with some cracks, which becomes steeper near the top. It is possible to scale it from other points, however, its west side is considered to be much more difficult.Show more
