Description
The Mürzer Oberland Nature Park, located on the border of Lower Austria, features beautiful alpine pastures, winding river valleys, and forests. In addition to a great network of hiking trails, the park is home to a great selection of road and mountain biking opportunities. Hikers can explore the Roßlochklamm Adventure Trail or the Raxalpe Loop. There is also a Montanarum Mine Museum and Neuberg Nature Museum. The park is also home to the largest functioning spinning wheel in the world.

A nice hike on lonely paths. Some of the trails are not clearly marked. First it goes from the parking lot Lohmgraben on the forest road to a forest path with Steinmann. You walk past a hunting lodge to the Lohmstein cave. We continue to the Schauerwandkreuz, the Schauerwand and the Lurgbauerhütte, a managed hut that is open in the summer months. From there you continue strengthened along the wooden stakes that mark the way back over the Heualm. You can also orientate yourself on the two high seats.Show more
