Wet and rainy - great fun.

Great for photos. Bit slippery in the wet.

My family and I have done this track several times. The paths have recently been improved making it much safer underfoot. The only negative is that it is very popular and can be hard to get a park at times and the path up is quite narrow for passing. We have also done this in the dark at night the kids love it. There are also several other tracks around the mountain if you want a longer walk.

Great track and loads of off the main track trails. I took my family with 2 fit kids 8, 10 and they loved it. They want to go again.

Tough, challenging and satisfying

Really... REALLY busy... almost a tourist run. But definately pretty and a good trail run.

This walk is a great work out. You will need good shoes, the top is very slippery when wet.

A fairly steep trail with loose rocks, slippery sections and few markers. It was busy with a variety of people from young scouts to older (+75) walkers. The view from the top and at a few clearings on the way up is great and it’s quite quick - only about 20 minutes if you’re going at a moderate pace without stopping. I would avoid it during or after the rain.

Very busy trail. Best to go early in the mornings to avoid crowds which can be difficult to pass on the narrow steps. Pretty short but for a quick escape out of the city the hike is nice. Definitely more of an exercise spot rather than a hike.

I have done a 13 km trail starting from One Tree Hill at the top of Kokoda memorial 1000 step. I walked along the chandler hill circuit then I went dow to Fern Tree Gully picnic area. From that point I strongly recommend to take the Musk walk before the 1000 steps attack. All the trail are easy large path in the forest. Down to Hansen and Chandlers tk you can have wanderfull open landscape on the valley. The 1000 steps are quite hard to do after 12 km. But u can do it slowly and enjoying the magnificent tropical vegetation in the creek. Take care if wet it coulb be slepery expecialy down hill.

Steep in parts but doable for anyone with reasonable fitness. Lots of Lyrebirds to be seen!!

Good trail with plenty of walking variety. Some great vistas and you can stop half way for a coffee at Skyhigh. All round a good hike.

Very steep incline and decline in some places, wouldn’t recommend if it’s raining.

Challenging step climb in beautiful surrounds.

Winged it quite a bit but the area is good for that due to numerous trails. Very peaceful area...except for the cockys. FYI- there was no Predator on Predator track. Would have given 5 stars had there been.

If you don’t like walking uphill, make sure you do the hike counter clockwise! Beautiful view from the peak with Melbourne in the far distance. Beautiful piece of rainforest with a waterfall flowing through. Keep the app on as the trail lacks some helpful signs showing you the right direction!

Love this track... there are alternative routes down which have less people. If you go just past the drinking fountains at the top of the stairs about 20m or so and turn left, there's another bunch of tracks that will take you back to the carpark.

Nice long hike with different terrain, vegetation and nice lookouts. Enjoyed it. Little slippery and muddy at the moment, but mainly on my favorite, the mechanics trail. Rest is most of the time on wider, easy tracks. At the Start and on Mount Dandenong Chance to get a coffee, Softdrinks and Food if needed. Took us 3:50 included short stops.

Nice trail but unfortunately often super busy. Gets the heart rate up
