Drive in ,good flat dirt road. Enjoyed this walk easy, but a couple of hills, well defined trail.take a hat and water, .Open country at beginning with great views of Mt Lindsay and Mt Barney. Then gradually changes into rainforest as you follow Creek, Mainly firebreak road till you come to post ,on left that signs trail to last 200 metres, minor rock hopping to falls . Beautiful spot.

Great hike, dry and hot even in May so take plenty of water. When you get to the water you can no longer get through the little rocky cave to go to the waterfall so you have to scramble up and over the hill on the right, takes about 30-40 minutes. Then come back the same way or swim back. Really lovely walk.

I have been hiking this trail at least once a year for the last 10 years or so, great water hole, can be a bit cool at first but after about 10 minutes or so your body will become accustomed, the walk in can be a little tricky underfoot, so shoes with good ankle support a must. It's a bit up and down with a few creek crossings, but unless there has been heavy rain they are mostly dry. This is a great hike for kids if they have a reasonable fitness level and heaps of energy. You maybe lucky and even spot a Goanna or two.

Great views of Mt Barney, trail is well defined, but erosion in parts of it Some slight rock scrambling going up ridge beyond Lower Portals Some steep hills, but doable. I enjoyed a good walk overall, good leg work The road to starting point is good, 2 wheel drive car can do easily

A beautiful walk with a good selection of bush through to temperate rain forests. The falls and waterhole at the end are a cute reward. While much of the track in is on an incline, it isn't steep - so I'm not sure why the sign says this is a grade 4 hike, I'd put it more at a 2. The way out is even easier.

love this hike because of the rockpools and waterfalls. It is beautiful at the moment, I went around to the top side of the falls to explore a bit then rock hopped and swam my way back which was great fun.

Easy hike, great for that fitness pick up, lovely camp area for overnighters. Extended the hike to Mt Barney Waterfall, steep climb up & over the ridge to river, great for a rock hopping walk to waterfall, unfortunately not running today

Great trails will do again got to be fit but the view it’s amazing happy trails

Great for moderate hikers. Extra water a must in summer! The waterhole was a delight with lots of shade. Allow 3hrs.

My favourite swimming spot. Hike in is not very difficult, though extremely hot and dry in summer. Sramble through a rock cave of sorts to get to the real swimming hole, but if its dry season and the creek is down you can rock hop up the creek to the left of it. Swimming hole is deep and stunning even during dry weather. Climb the waterfall (can be a difficult task) and rock hop and scramble up the gorge, its beautiful and well worth the effort. Apparently there are caves, havent found them yet. Local goannas and eels are unafraid of people, always hanging about. This place rejuvenates my soul.

Great walk with varying terrain. Beautiful swimming hole to finish it off.

Decent 3-4 hour round trip walk with beautiful Secret Falls at the end. Thoroughly enjoyed the falls & swimming here & we had them all to ourselves. Saw a few people heading here on the way back, so the earlier the better. Better to do this one for warmer weather so you can cool off & have lunch at the falls. You may think you have gone too far & haven't reached the falls yet, but there is now a small sign on the left of the track once you hit them & you just work your way through about 5-10m of scrub to get to them.

Hike through dry bushland can get hot in summer, take plenty of water. Track is pretty level most of the time but has the occasional long hill walk. Water holes at the end are great to cool off in, so take your smimmers!

Once you get over the hill at the start it’s a pretty easy and nice hike to the campsite, small water crossing you might get your shoes wet but nothing crazy.

Book early in summer. Great swimming hole which you have scramble over the rocks to get to. Walk is a bit exposed so in summer have water.

Great overnight trip. We camped in the saddle. We had whiteout conditions the first day on the summit. The second day was very clear and provided amazing views. You can do this in one day, but we obtained the permits to camp overnight. This is a great hike with great views.
