Not a great hike, but the view is fantastic once you get there. It was much more exposed than I expected. I’m an experienced rock climber but this is quite sketchy at some points. There have been fires recently and the top is burnt out in places.

There was no trail for this hike the entire way up, the entire route was off trail and we only found our way because of downloading the trail map. The view was not as great as photos and there is really only a lookout in one spot, the rest is too overgrown to see much. Very steep, slippery, and dangerous, we are quite banged up even though we are both very experienced hikers. Was longer than 4 miles as well, by the end our GPS said 9, which also takes into account needing to park a mile or so away from the actual trail head.

Beautiful walk. Lots of creek crossings, with the trail not always obvious. Wear long pants because we saw a number of snakes. The decent was hard on the knees.

beautiful views, fairly easy going .

really enjoy doing this hike !

The lack of views and as the tallest peak was a little disappointing but great for the history of the crash

Nice hike if you’re in the area. Track was closed today (31/08/19) due to fire danger but we did it anyway. Good winter hike as the track is fairly exposed.

A hard slog. Leave early. Be prepared.

Gorgeous walk, quite steep at certain points so bring plenty of water and arrive early so there’s time to spare if you get lost. Follow the old rabbit proof fence posts and mesh if lost. There are no views besides a few at the saddle of Superbus. The top is a bit of a scramble but there’s a humanly arranged pile of rocks which marks the top.

Pretty sketchy coming down the ridge trail but still fun.

Really nice easy going walk, beautiful views.

We hiked up to Mt Superbus Shoulder, then over Mt Roberts to camp at Lizard South Remote Bushcamp. Love the sunset & sunrise views to be had at Lizard Point. Also scouted part of the trail from Lizard Point to The Steamers Lookout. Returned to Teviot Gap down Mt Roberts ridge (tape trail marked by cairn of rocks along the trail on the south side of Mt Roberts, part of the way up from the Superbus-Roberts Saddle). A fabulous two days in remote, very steep, rugged wilderness. Tough with overnight pack with all the associated gear; including food & water for two days, but well worth the effort - for experienced hikers only.

the driving directions to starting point of trail are wrong, if you come from that direction, the gate across road at Causurina Camping Ground is Locked. From gate it is still another 20 kilometres to starting point. You are better to come from Maryvale, Gumburra side, through Aratula.

The road in is 2 wd car doable, defined trail, good signage, at creeks some stone stepping, go clockwise, if you go anticlockwise the trail is very steep going up There are some steep hills so a reasonable fitness level is required. Beautiful walk along the creek, quite shady, but take at least 2 litres of water. a beautiful walk

I have not hike this for a long time but the Directions to the start of this walk are not correct. The walk starts up the road from Goomburra. The link above directs to Glen Rock which not correct.

amazing views. went anti clockwise, steep ascent, slippery but doable.

We did Mt Superbus summit. Was a great adventure, challenging and well worth the hike.

First decent hike I ever did, theres an offroad track from the west that leads up to a parking area. Take the trail north east which leads to Mathieson, continue the loop around to Spicers Gap (Governors Chair) plenty of birds & wildlife to spot, some history plaques along the way, I found that interesting.
