The steepness was hard for someone without a lot of experience... like me

To put this review in context, we are 2 women in our mid 60s of moderate fitness and used to walking. We loved this trail. It took us about an hour to get up to the top of the rock, which is the highest point but only about one third of the distance. It took us another 1.75 hours to get back to the car, but this included about 20 minutes trying to find the best way to get across the river near the end of the walk. ( We lost the trail markers when we got to the boulders ). The way up was quite steep with a bit of scrambling but not too difficult if taken slowly. The track down was slippery in places owing to the loose surface underfoot and the sharpness of the slope but again not too hard. lo Ely views, pretty vegetation and overall a very pleasant walk.

We started from the metal gate, cause was closed at the time because of heavy rains and flooding, that tip the walk to just over 11km, good walk.

Pretty easy trail except for small section uphill where you come to a point that requires a bit of boulder climbing/scrambling to get to the highest point of the trail. Only took 2 hours to complete instead of the recommended 3-4 on the Davies Creek info board.
