Living in Sydney it is easy to find a walk with a beautiful and this is no exception. Gives you a unique view of North Head, The Spit and surrounding headlands. If you have time to do this walk, you would not be disappointed. RECOMMEND!

Nice easy walk with plenty of history and beautiful views of Sydney along the way.

Nice, enjoy!

Beautiful walk with beautiful views and great historical Australian culture!

Very interesting trail...beach, bush, historical markers, cliffs, residential neighborhoods... it took me three hours because I was enjoying it so much!!

hike isn't anything special until the end, one of the best views of Sydney Harbour

one of my favorites.

A couple of epic views along the way (overlooking Shelly Beach and the city) but the walk itself was nothing special.

awesome walk. views, history, nature. perfect.

Easy walk, not suitable for wheelchairs. Partially artificially built, always easy to follow. Can be very crowded, leave early morning for a better experience. Possibility to spot some parrots and whales during the season. Also great views on Sydney CBD. My rating (0 to 5 max): views 4, natural environment 3, exposure 1, difficulty 1, length 1.

Went here this morning. Amazing view. All three lookout is closed due to recent rockfalls nearby. A bit disappointed. But the view on the path is amazing.

A stunning walk through coastal heath with a views of Sydney Harbour, the city skyline, South Head, and Manly Beach. Walk clockwise and take a dip at Little Manly Point on your return (calm, harbour side) or anti-clockwise and swim at Cabbage Tree Bay or Manly Beach (ocean side). Lots of stairs and uphill sections make this a good workout. You can catch a bus from the Manly Ferry terminal to the Barracks to shorten the walk. Unfortunately most of the North Head lookouts are partially closed due to cliff subsidence but there are still plenty of other lookouts throughout the walk. There's an interpretive display at the Fort's Visitor Centre and an excellent cafe with amazing views. If you have time consider adding a side trip to Q Station (old quarantine station) for more views, displays and tours.
