Kjeranbolten is a boulder suspended 984 meters (3,228 ft) above Lysefjord. The rock was wedged in place in the year 50,000 B.C by a massive glacier and today is a popular tourist destination and an amazing viewpoint. You should expect to share the viewpoint with many other photo seekers who have made the trek. Older children can do this hike, but keep in mind that it is a strenuous hike and there are many ledges.Show more

Very well-made path up the Viglesdalen valley to the DNT Viglesdalen mountain lodge. A scenic hike that passes the waterfalls of Sendingfossen and Hiafossen/Granefossen, as well as the Viglesdalsvatnet lake with the big-walls towering high over your head. The cabin itself is beautifully situated on a grazy floodplain.Show more

This demanding round-trip hike provides incredible views of the surrounding peaks, lakes, and ocean. It leads through a variety of terrain as you climb up to the 787-meter tall peak. 2.5 km after the start the trail becomes steeper but flattens out after that. The final climb to the peak is short but it is nearly straight uphill.Show more

A great hike to mount Skomakarnibbå (the shoemaker's crag). The path goes through varied and attractive terrain, climbs about 400 metres and is steep in parts. Wet bog-area before you get to mount Øksnafjellet where you can enjoy the view. On a clear day there are fantastic views of the mountains, fjord and islands from the viewpoint at Skomakarnibbå. Suitable footwear, walking sticks and good fitness are essentials for this walk.Show more
