Easy trail along a saddle. Front half is all gradual gain along trails and boards, back half is a steeper scramble. Stunning views of a beautiful beach where turquoise waves crash on golden sands and vertical cliffs rise into the clouds. This area can only be accessed by hiking. If the parking area is full do not park along the road. Police will be writing tickets for illegal parking. The trail can be very muddy and slippery.Show more

Fantastic hike with wonderful panoramic views over the Vestfjord and the entire large island of Vestvågøya. The trail takes you from peak to peak as you hike along a rugged mountain ridge. It requires a good head for heights in certain places. Some places are very steep and can be muddy after the rain. This hike is not suitable for beginners or anyone with no hiking experience. However, if you fancy a little rock climbing this hike is for you!Show more

This incredible hike to Kvalvika beach connected with the summit hike to Mount Ryten rewards you with one of the most spectacular views of Lofoten. Moderate difficulty and it can be muddy after it rains. Few rocky sections when going that require scrambling when going down to the beach.Show more

A fairly straight path leads to the top of this impressive mountain and gives you the typical fantastic view of the landscape of Lofoten. With a height of 740 meters, the peak is in the middle of the Lofoten peaks and gives a good day on the mountain. The trail begins at the top of the ski lift. At first it seems that you can climb straight up to the small peak in front of you, but the path winds gently around the western edge when it narrows towards the river that flows down from the mountain. After crossing the river and some less swampy sections, the trail gets steeper the further you go up the mountain. The trail is unmarked, but is mostly in good condition. After climbing more than 600 meters, the trail will end on the top plateau on the west side of the mountain. From here it is now an easy walk up a mostly gentle slope before it reaches the rocky peak. Here it ends in a steep mountainside. Enjoy the view to the east over Nappstraumen and over the northwest side of Vestvågøy.Show more

This hike takes you along one of the most beautiful beaches in Lofoten. A strip of sand between high mountains makes this path a must in the region. This hike is quite easy and can be done even in bad weather. It starts with a ferry ride to the start of the trail at the northern end of the Reinefjord.Show more

A tough but enjoyable climb to the “Top of the Sky” (Himmeltindan), one of the highest peaks in the region and the highest on the island Vestvågøya. It provides the best view of the southeast chain of Lofoten. The hike is quite steep almost all the way up. The trail is poorly marked.Show more

This medium-difficult hike starts in Sørvågen and leads through the Lofoten hinterland past four lakes on the way to the breathtaking Munkebu cabin.
