Take a boat from Gjendesheim to Memurubu to take a one-way trip with an epic view of the lake all the way. Can also be done as a multi-day backpacking trip. There is no parking at the ferry pier where the trip begins, so park a lot about half a mile up the road, and there is a shuttle bus from there. Beautiful hike with stunning scenery. It is a good rocky climb, but will not try it in snow or strong winds. Good hiking equipment is a must. The trail is well marked and many other hikers.Show more

This hike leads to the highest mountain in the southern part of the Femunden National Park. Elgåhogna is 1460 meters above sea level. When the weather is nice and clear you can see the entire Femundsjøen from the summit plateau. The first part of the tour takes you on a gravel road through a forest. When you leave the forest you enter the Femundsmarka National Park, where Elgåhogna opens up into a fantastic landscape. You will most likely encounter reindeer here too. There are piles of stones that mark the way to the summit.Show more

Nice hike to the top of the volcanic shaped mountain Skaget, the highest mountain in Langsua National Park. Here you have a great view of the Gausdal Valley in the north, the Jotunheimen National Park in the west and the mountains of Huldreheimen in the east. The trail goes through relatively smooth mountain terrain, but there are some rocky spots towards the summit that you need to climb. It is therefore recommended to only ascend in clear weather. There are several ways that lead up and can be combined.Show more

Length: 47.1 mi
The cycle ride starts up on Venabygdsfjellet, from where you can see Mount Muen. After the descent down to the valley, at Enden, it is possible to make a 24-km return trip detour to the old timber church at Sollia. The ride continues from there through the long valley of Atndalen. The best view towards the mountain tops of Rondane is from the Sohlbergplassen viewpoint. The route is relatively easy to cycle both ways and car traffic is moderate. For more information see: https://www.nasjonaleturistveger.no/en/routes/rondaneShow more

This hike leads you to ono of the highest mountains of the Rondane Mountain Range. From the top, you’ll experience wide-ranging views three national parks: Rondane, Dovrefjell, and Jotunheimen. The trail begins from Strømbu rest stop and is well-marked. As you pass the tree line, the terrain becomes increasingly steep and rocky. Check the forecast before heading out, and do not undertake the hike in harsh weather. take the sign-posted trail to Høgronden. The trail is marked with red Ts and is easy to follow.Show more

Langeskaveltinden, towering at 2,014 meters above sea level, is a demanding hike that starts near Bygdin Lake. It is located on the outskirts of Jotunheim National Park, in the southern area of the Jotunheimen mountain range. Langeskaveltinden is the highest point of the mountain ridge. From the top, you'll get fantastic views of Eidsbugarden and Tyin as well as the mountains and landscape of southern Jotunheimen. From Eidsbugarden/Fondsbu, hike towards Tyinholmen, until the red T-marked trail directs you towards Skogadalsbøen. Turn onto the path towards Sløtatjernet, located at 1,323 meters above sea level, in the westward direction. Continue west up the ridge, and further northwest before reaching the summit at 1,878 meters above sea level. Return the same way you arrived, or hike on the backside of the mountain - returning to Eidsbugarden.Show more
