Goles forest is a loop up a mountain forest road with little rivers on both sides. It's a constant climb to start then flattens out at the top before coming back down with beautiful views of Glenelly Valley. A short walk that takes less than hour but is very peaceful and enjoyable.

Good trail with great views over Lough Foyle and Benone Strand. Dog friendly, no stiles. Very muddy in places especially if you go off the main trail in the forest and as you approach top of Binevenagh there is a boggy section. Do this on a clear day to maximise the views.

fun trail - across open ground at times with few markers along the fence, but following the map on alltrails was easy enough. Boggy in places. About 2/3 of the route is on track or road

My son and I completed this hike today. The view at the top was spectacular. A bit unsteady underfoot near Eagles rock but well worth the hike.

Really enjoyed this walk, lovely views and beautiful countryside. Was lovely seeing all the animals while walking around. However, once myself and my partner reached the peak of the hike, unfortunately, there was a sign stating 'Sorry, path closed' after we realized this, we looked at the map to ensure we had not gone of the path, but while doing so, a farmer came in his quad and shouted over "DON'T BE COMING OVER THIS WAY" so we then had to turn around and walk back down through the forest and along the main road towards community center. which was a little disappointing considering we were so enjoying the walk and wish we were able to complete it as the map indicated.

the hot sun made these two tough climbs but the soft heather made for the perfect seat to rest and enjoy the views

Really enjoyable walk, tough climb to the left hand side of the ‘Eagles Rock’, an easier climb is around the right hand side. Be cautious of some wet parts when making track from top of Mullaghmore to Glenshane forest. Great views of the waterfall along the river. If lucky enough to do the walk at a quiet time, the priests chair is an ideal location for a packed lunch (remaining respectful).

Great walk, quite a steep climb towards top of Mullaghaneny but worth it for the views North. Climb towards Oughtmore is steady with great views all the way towards Lough Neagh and beyond. Would suggest either keeping tight to Forrest on the way back or follow fence back to the road, completing return to car park via the road in wet weather.

This walk has everything. Spectacular views that span as far as the Mourne Mountains and Lough Neagh on a clear day. The waterfall and historical mass rock are extra bonuses. Between the Eagle's Rock and Glenshane Forest is open mountain and in wet weather can be very boggy so be prepared.

ness woods closed from main entrance but can drive further up the road to see the waterfall. we walked Elvey woods instead and it was lovely. Nice walk. few hills towards the end but nothing major. you have to park at the main road and walk down as car parks closed

Partially completed this route. Hiked through the forest up to the NE Top and returned. Did not complete entire route as conditions were bitterly cold. Fantastic views on a clear winters day.

It was muddy and no clear paths. However, it was a scenic path and the view at the top was amazing. Don’t forget to bring extra socks and shoes.

I really enjoyed this walk. The trail is in good condition and it's impossible to get lost as it's just a loop. There's a nice mix of native species trees, but they're still young, the rest are conifers and there are large areas that have been harvested and replanted. Some nice views, and no phone signal, so if you want to get some peace that's handy. I'll definitely visit again.

Nice walk not difficult, i took my 5 month son out in a baby carrier so a nice easy route for the family. Would recommend and would revisit.
