Fantastic trail, weather was foggy with light showers, highly recommend to all ages, will definitely return during summer months, although the peace and tranquility at this time of year is amazing, only a handful of people out, steps just before the summit are challenging but just take your time and you'll be fine, car park is 5pound sterling or €6,cash only so bear this in mind.Enjoy

A good trek with great views

Went up on a Wednesday morning so nice and quiet. Parked in Marble Arch Caves which adds approx 15 mins onto the journey but it's fine. There is two car parks at the beginning of the trail. 2nd one is better if you are trying to keep the trail as short as possible. Gravel trail is a bit slippy underfoot on the decline so just watch your step. Boardwalk is great and steps look daunting but they are not bad at all. View from the top is nice but not amazing. bathrooms and cafe in Marble Arch Caves. 2.5 - 3.5 hours I would say would cover most people out a back.

This is a bucket list hike as in I wouldn't be doing it a second time. Started from the 2nd car park and the first 30/40 minutes are a poxy walk up to the boardwalk which is unnecessary. Boardwalk is steep but that's to be expected since your going up a mountain. Views are great all the way up to the top.

Fantastic walk, boardwalk is a bit steep on the last 1km, so worth it at the top on a nice day. My 10 year old was with us. Took about 3 hours round trip

Done this a couple of years back with the family awesome day very warm no breeze class intro for the kids .

very enjoyable walk I did it from the second car park views at the top are nice but not amazing views halfway up are much better. Glad to have completed it and will do it again.£5 parking... your car is safe and it is a working farm

love this walk great view on a clear day

Lovely walk with lovely views. We did this from the second car park which shortened it somewhat, due to the weather forecast. I do think the categorization “hard” is definitely not the case. It’s moderate at worst. The step climb near the top is a little strenuous, but very doable.

My Family from age 10 to 50 enjoyed this fairly easy walk. A bit of a climb up steps at the end. Was part of a longer loop, but partly closed to preserve some flora and fauna. Great views on a good day. £5 for car park.

My husband and I completed this hike yesterday. There is a continuous gradual incline. It takes a while to reach the actual boardwalk. The steps are only the last 10 mins of the walk. It’s a good hike and I’d walked at a fast pace can be a good workout. The views from the top are nice but not spectacular. However we will definitely do it again. Note: there is a €6 charge to park your car! I thought this was a bit steep considering most outdoor activities in Ireland are free. For this price I would expect a portaloo for the paying public.
