Super easy and flat ride would be excellent on a non windy day.

good track for the moderatley fit tramper. the gentle annie part is more well maintained.

I loved this walk glorious views my 9 year old daughter did it with me she was a bit scared at places but happy as to have finished it, some of the track can be a bit slippery with the gravel under your feet, and watch the rocks lol I pulled a ligament in my ankle but well worth the pain for the awesome views

Beautiful views we went at sunset time gorgeous as

lovely stroll on the city

Outstanding short walk. Great views of Kapiti Island and the coast.

Loved this walk! amazing views and challenging at times but totally worth it. Trail can be a bit exposed at times with few railings so not for somebody who is afraid of heights!

Wicked awesome wee walk

Awesome great day hike

Completed this circuit in a day with beautiful skies.

Good viewing! This track is unsuitable for an amateur like me >.

Beautiful walk, easy (flat) walking for the whole family to enjoy! Bathrooms and bbqs at the park but generally no phone reception. Swimming spots and Lord of the Rings photo opportunities there too!

Beautiful coastal view! Some parts can be dangerous, because of the steep stairs on steep slopes, and the Wellington wind.

Excellent walk. Fabulous views. Well maintained track.

I hit this trail on one of the most beautiful days of my entire trip to NZ. it is spectacular! It challenges with some crazy flights of stairs on exposed hillside, then pays off big with some brilliant views of the western coast and Kapiti Island. Definately worth the time if you get a chance.

This is a great loop that we love to do to relax among the trees. I have vertigo so the 1st bridge is a bit difficult but OK. Nice accesses to the river and its stones beaches, possibility to bath in it. This is a nice and short walk.

Great track with awesome views on a fine day, loads of stairs but good challenge there and back

Great walk. Get the views of mount Mathews airport and the harbour entrance at the different parts of the track. Good mixture of up , down and flat section. Can park the vehicles at southern end at breaker bay or Bowes crescent. Atarturk side had dog play area. Can accommodate buggy and wheelchairs.

So spacious out here. Great beach area at entrance, safe for swims too. Very picturesque location.

Those stairs are a killer ! Haha
Stunning views.

Peaceful place. Went out on a stunning day, quickly got too hot but nonetheless, the reward of seeing the pinnacles was worthwhile!

great trail. Best done on a fine day. Read the train timetable wrong so walked back again. 4 hours there and back .

Great views of Kapiti Island, worth starting South end and popping into Paekakariki at the end.

Better start in Paekakariki and train back

excellent trail, fairly difficult definitely would be a task to do there and back in one day but builds up the fitness

Absolutely great views if the weather is right (but absolutely miserable if it's abnormally windy, so definitely check the forecast before going). This trail climbs above and beside Highway 1, but noise was never a huge issue for us.

Pro tip: if you want to climb up less stairs, the north to south route is the way to go. There are a lot of stairs at the beginning of the south to north route that can make the walk initially difficult, whereas the north to south route starts you off at a steady climb.
