Very good trail with great views of the valley along the climb. Once you reach the pinnacles hut (2.5 hours) you can rest a little and head up to the peak. Lots of stairs to get to the top and then climbing up metal ladders - take care when doing this part. So worth it with the views of the forest and coast at the top! https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/coromandel/places/coromandel-forest-park/things-to-do/kauaeranga-kauri-trail/Show more

Great trail and almost all paved. There is quite a bit of up and down, and a ton of stairs at the very end so those with knee issues should beware. If you continue on the shore, there is an old rope swing, too, that you can see from the hillside. The info center is a good stop if coming from the beach because there is shade, restrooms, and food/ice cream trucks. This is also where the public transit has a stop. The beach is quite a bit rockier here, though so just a heads’ up. https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/coromandel/places/hahei-area/tracks/cathedral-cove-walk/Show more

Good for beginners, tourists and children. Short walk. Immediate gratification with views. Don't expect a hike. https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/central-north-island/places/taupo-area/things-to-do/huka-falls-tracks/Show more

Great views at end. Walk is a wide easy path. Quite a few stairs at the end to get to the bottom of the falls, but you can also view the falls from above. Show more

This former old horse-drawn tram track passes by rock formations on its way to the old camp and battery site of the former goldmine. After passing the sites, the track makes its way to Wharekirauponga Falls.Show more
