A few stairs but a nice gentle walk. very picturesque.

There are multiple river crossings. It made the journey to see the kauri’s very interesting, you definitely had to earn it!

Likely a great ride for mountain bikers, but sadly not a great walk for hikers due to the high number of high speed and non-track sharing bikers - very sad! Hey bikers if you can't see what's around the corner, please be prepared to stop ' thanks. The track its self is good and firm, and wanders it's way through regenerating bush above the lake. The lookout points were a little disappointing due to plant over growth blocking what would be great views. It's a long trek on foot so, take water and snacks and make a day of it. Oh, and take care on the tight corners, chances are you'll get a least one or two high speed surprises.

There is smaller 3km walk starting from near Wentfalls falls campground if you do not want to do all 23.5 km

Great alternative to the often busy gorge walks. This one provides fantastic views of the area and a birds eye view of the swing bridges at the start of the gorge. Did the loop clockwise for a great cardio workout to the summit.

Loved it! Easy and impressive. A must see if you go to Waitomo.

A gentle amble which follows a gravel road / path and ends up in the bush. Relaxing and pleasant. Has a picnic area at the end.

Note that parts are now closed due to Kauri die back. Check ahead before planning trip

A great ride, and would rate it grade 3 because some people would not like the hills, which are not that bad but to some people they would be. If you want to arrange a vehicle at each end it may suit some people. Definitely worth the ride, or walk.

What a wonderful bush walk. I was blessed with wonderful weather and the views were spectacular.

I would rate it a bit higher than easy. There are a lot of ups and downs and the climbs are steep in place. But defiantly worthwhile.

Very nice view! It was worth a detour on our way back from Cathedral Cove.

Great walk. Took a good few hours with the kids.

Was a good easy walk, I took my 7 year old she loved it

Good ride which takes just under an hour with a full pack of climbing and camping gear

great ride definitely not easy a grade 3 in my opinion lots of switch backs

The waterfall is beautiful! The trail is paved with crushed rock, so easy to navigate. The ancient plantlife puts you in another world.

Pretty neat falls. Well kept & marked, easy to follow track. Can get a little busy.

Long trail.

Bridal Veil Falls is a stunning waterfall approximately 45mins drive from Raglan. The falls are 55 metres high and the Maori name Waireinga translates to ‘leaping waters’.

Not worth the drive

Easy. Nothing hugely noteworthy. Swimming in the falls not allowed.

steep climb back up from bottom of water fall to trail

Beautiful walk and can be combined with the Windows Walk/loop. The walk follows the gorge most of the way, with a large tunnel towards the end. Some good swimming holes and river access in many places. Take a torch and wear good footwear as there are some dangerous pieces of steel sticking up in a few places.

The North Road end of the of the track is in good condition and relatively easy to follow. The Ohinewai Rd end of the track has become seriously overgrown with numerous tree falls, and obscured track markers. That end of the track doesn't appear to be maintained and looked little used. We frequently lost the the track and had to use GPS Topomap apps to refind it. The recommended time for the track is 8 hours but we are a fairly fit bunch and normally do it in 6 hours. This time it took us over 8 hours. We've advised DOC Waikato of what we found, and don't intend to do this route again until we get confirmation that it is safer to use.
