Pretty neat falls. Well kept & marked, easy to follow track. Can get a little busy.

Long trail.

Super short walk

amazing walk, takes roughly 2 hours return. 45mins up to first waterfall lookout and another 45mins to top of lookout, all up hill, a few river/bridge crossings and plenty of stairs. lookout for the weekends due to heaps of people with dogs, and runners. asian tour groups who dont make room for others, and people too busy on their phones to look where their walking.

Needs maintenance, if a lot of rain it would be very easy to slip down a steep bank

Finally made it to the top. Great track and so proud of myself

The Huks is one of Waikato's best outdoor gyms. It’s a 335 metre climb to the summit of the Hakarimata Range with 1,349 steps in between

Waitomo is a magical place, both underground and overground. This track passes through a continually changing variety of landscapes, both natural and transformed. From native forests, limestone formations, natural bridges and the unique networks of glow worms that can be sighted at night.

Amazing hike with killer views. A few exciting chain sections as well.

Amazing trail. Good workout as it is a bit of elevation gain especially if you go all the way to the top. Once I got to the lower lookout I decided I had to make the trip to the top because it looks so amazing. Unfortunately it was pouring rain by the time I got to the top, no views to speak of as I was literally hiking in clouds on top of the mountains.

Amazing view, challenging but only takes about an hour up

Surreal and beautiful!

Not worth the drive

Easy. Nothing hugely noteworthy. Swimming in the falls not allowed.

Amazing, took some great photos.

Rough track & practically all up hill but the sore glutes are well worth the amazing views from both the lower and upper look out! Amazing!!!

You must go to the top. Worth the effort as views are amazing !

Beautiful trek up, awesome views out over the Waikato

Awesome views from the top, well worth the trek up!! Some of the track is fairly rugged and overgrown, but easy enough to get through! Take plenty of water and a packed lunch to enjoy the views!

Really nice hike in the beautiful woods of the vulcano until you get to the top with the breathtaking view! I would really recommend this hike!

steep climb back up from bottom of water fall to trail

Muy lindo!

Beautiful trek up, many views along the way. Take plenty of sun protection.

Moderately challenging, but with breathtaking views at the top. On a clear day, you can see Tongariro National Park and it's volcanoes one way, and turning around you can see all the way back to white island.

Probably great for a family, not for the adventures

Very nice trail for a warm day! It winds through pretty rainforest the whole time and follows the river on occasion.
The view of the waterfall at the lookout is very impressive. As is the unusual perspective you get if you choose to walk all the way to the top. Very peaceful sunny spot for a picnic there :). Would do it again!
