Closed off as river was too dangerous, not certain how often the trail is open

Great hike, in the forest. Trail is well marked and maintained

Absolutely epic! We had a great weather day, trail is interesting and keeps you on your toes(literally) Mint views are the top and a couple of good lookouts on the way up. Best view of the glacier I’ve ever seen. Better than Roy’s peak in Wanaka!

Great, peaceful and easy walk ending at the Stone Store & Plough n Feather Pub that serve a nice lunch after the walk I would say an any weather walking trail

Rando hors du temps, incroyable. 4 h pénibles dans la forêt récompensées par 1h dans la vallée qui est juste magique, avec des dizaines et des dizaines de cascades de partout

Absolutely beautiful and nice and easy. Quite quiet at the moment which was also nice. I would try to go early as once the sun goes past the mountain you're walking in complete shade.

Amazing place

This is a nice trail that’ll take you up to the lookout and down to the base of the pinnacles. Note that the stream-bed portion of the trail isn’t super well marked so just keep an eye on the north/west side of the stream so you don’t miss the trail markers.

Took dogs but pretty short and some areas closed Pretty through bush but not a long walk so we headed to Churchill park after

2nd time I've done the track today.. still awesome walk... sad that we are very short on rain and the waterfall is very dry... nice to follow the wairere track for 500m mostly along the stream that the waterfall comes from. leads to the north/south track

We weren’t able to hike too much of this trail due to a torrential rain storm. We did hike far enough to see the rapids, which looked awesome in the rain!

One of the most amazing trails I’ve ever done! Definitely go early to avoid the crowds. 3 miles one way, with mountain, river, and lake views all the way to the end. It culminates at Hooker Lake, at the foot of Mt. Cook. Unbelievably gorgeous! Highly recommend.

Nice easy loop trail.

bridge out

Attempted on 19th of May and due to the floods in February, the first major bridge is out (20m walk) with no realistic crossing of the river unless you are to be more than waist deep in the frigid river. The walk there is nice but I would not attempt during rain or after a rain storm as it was still wet and bog-like with the absence of rain for 4-5 days.

What an absolute amazing hike up to this alpine lake. There were a few construction zones going on in areas with bridges and boardwalks but we managed to be able to accomplish this magnificent view of a hike. If you want a gradual climb up to a million dollar view. This is it. Go do this hike and then go do a cruise in Milford Sound. What a great day.

Cave Stream Loop Track is a nice short diversion and a break from driving. Beautiful scenery

awesome track. I saw an eel while crossing the river. wet, slippery, and sketchy.

It took an hour and half. Nice and well-managed path :)

Great for newbies

Nice trail, bit cloudy but still nice :)

easiest track , quick and nice , Peters pool is amazingly mirroring. Really really nice, and the DOC info board also interesting.

Easy walk. Nice scenery and nicely shaded. Dog friendly! Some tricky steps on incline/decline (depending way you go) but otherwise great!

Beautiful forest hike with awesome views on the highest point. Recommend to walk clockwise as you finish alongside the lakeshore.

Half the size of the Hakarimata Summit track, much more quiet and peaceful. Favourite mountain in the area

We loved this hike. Nice steady climb rewarded with beautiful views once you reach the top
