Absolutely incredible view from the top! Be prepared for a full day of hiking with water and snacks. Right now there is extreme mud and ice with a bit if fresh powder at the very top and hearty winds.

Fantastic trail with a diverse range of flora. Beautiful waterfalls, gradual incline, historic point of interest in the form of a gold panner’s hut. Longer than advertised from the car park clocking in at 5 miles. 2h30 to casually complete with stops for photos, but, water etc.

Totally recommend the trail. Climbs may be a little challenging, though worth the view of Dispute lake with all the birds singing. Sam’s relic hut is another gem on the path. But the most beautiful thing was the spring surrounded by a bush touched with frost (end of June).

Quite a picturesque trail, though may get muddy. Best at noon (due to the sun’s position) and if the mud on the trail is frozen. Very quiet, never encountered any other person (though there were a 3-4 other cars). Mountains reflections are beautiful if there are neither wind nor clouds.

Not an easy trail but definitely worth every step. None stop stunning view.

Beautiful views on this trail & barely any other people.

good place for trout fishing

Somewhat difficult but worth it. Waterfalls, rivers, creeks, lake view, a stop at the hut is all worth the ascend and descent! Longer than what AllTrails says but worth every step.

uphill pretty much all the way but great view at the top

We did the reverse and walked up the hill and then gondola down, great trail and fun watching the mountain bikers come down the trails

Great hike not to be taken lightly in winter. You can get to the saddle in tennis shoes but the rest of the way to the top is heavy snow. I had perfect weather today and wish I would have had crampons, especially for the way down. Amazing views at the top. Went up in 3 hours and leisurely came down in 2.5 hours.

Absolutely brilliant hike but do come prepared!

Beautiful continuous incline, scenic views especially of snow capped mountains from the top.

Good family walk.

Nice and short. Especially great at sunset!

A lot of construction on the ski fields, but once you turn off it’s nice and secluded. Lake Alta is beautiful even in gross fog and rain. Nice place to do some random rock scrambling. Easy hike too. The road is to get up is super sketch though, well paved but extremely windy and steep. Still worth the views!!

This is very nice track with amazing views

A great and challenging track that is an uphill battle to the top! Not suitable for beginners due to the overgrown track condition, elevation gain, and exposure. Wonderful views of Gibbston Valley from the top!

I did this only one way QT to Arthurs Point having summited Ben Lomond as part of the route. Moonlight trail was great, a narrow animal track type path but amazing views and very quiet with regards to people!

Nice little trail. Quite steep sometimes. way easier than Ben Lomond. Views are nice. the end of the trail is closed as it's a private property.

Easy walking trail. Took me 1hr 30mins at a quick pace but stopping to take photos. If you get the right weather it's truly epic if not its still a beautiful hike!

Great little hike. Managed it in under 2hrs but was going at a fast pace on the way up. Majority of the trail is in the trees but opens up to some great views up and down the Rees valley. A few trees down but relatively easy to cross. Rees Valley Road to the trail head does cross two rivers so don't go if you're not confident with your car going through fords.

Was really pleasantly surprised with this walk. Beautiful scenery and the hut was so cool. We descended down to the Lake instead of finishing the loop which I wouldn’t recommend. The track is much nicer.
