Great track!

Took just a little over 3hrs to the top
1:41hrs back down and all up 4:41hrs.

Recommend going in the morning. I left at 7am and got to the top just after 10am. Not a lot of people up there at that time, but it gets quite busy soon after as most people take the gondola up at 9am. Gondola to the top roughly 2-2.5hrs

I would recommend this track on a sunny day in the morning.

It took me 1:30hrs return from queenstown (see map).

Difficulty is definitely hard but it gets easier after the first part.

Def. recommend!

Nice trail, but unfortunately the clouds obscured the view.

Very beautiful walk along the lake with paths into the city garden. Would rate as easy.

first off, you need 1.5liters of water. holy shit this hike wrecked me. this hike is uphill 99.9% of the way. I recommend taking the gondola up first to save energy, but I started at the base. 3 hours 15min to reach the summit. but I was super impressed with everyone that made it up there. people in their late sixties, people with bellies, you just have to push through. but the view is unreal. top ten hike in nz.

this track is great, depending which loop you take there is some information boards, along the trail are stone piles and a few quirky spots added if you see them. the walk is medium to hard taking about 45mins. it's great to take a picnic up top (but please take you're litter home) the views of the local surrounding area are great.

Great hike with beautiful scenery, definitely would recommend it.

Great hike. We started from the top of the gondola. Took us two hours to summit and 1hr 20m to come back down. It can get cold at the top and there's no shade on the way up.

This trail is hard. It has great view especially after the saddle but it is continuous up. After the saddle it gets steeper and becomes a rock climb until just before the top. It was very busy going up and down as well as at the summit. This maybe because I went on Saturday with perfect weather. Because of the crowds not a lotof solitude with some even playing music out loud. If you prefer meeting new people and socializing, this is you hike. Kind of a shared endurance test.

Tough trail if you climb all the way from Queenstown without taking the cable car, but so worth it

Steady uphill climb for roughly 40 minutes but the views are incredible and well worth the effort!

Scenic walkway around the area, also not sure why this is rated as moderate.

Not sure why this is rated as moderate but a scenic stroll.

Rewarded with amazing views after steady climb to summit, made it up in 45 minutes, had a snack and looked around at the top, then down in about 30 minutes. Awesome views of the whole Queenstown area. Recommended.

Hard but very worthy. Great views entire hike. Incredible 360 views at top

Nice walk with several up and down sections with fantastic views of blue/green water. Perfect for a picnic!

There is not actually a path from Jack's point to Frankton. The farmer told us to leave and walk along the street. The Part from the Hilton Hotel to Jack's Point is great, awesome views and well maintained path. You have to share with bikers, so be aware.

Worth every step! Such an amazing view, breathtaking!
Even for mountain goats like we are! It took us 3 hours return from the gondola. But as I said, we are used to hike steep terrains.
We started after 9 am, which was good, because it wasn't crowded at all. Though while walking down, many people crossed our path.

Really rewarding but pretty challenging. Wear good runners and activewear.

First part of track is maintained well. But the last part of trail to summit is rocky and hard to climb up. However, all effort worthy it. The view on top of summit is stunning. The sign indicate 1hr 30 to Saddle and 2hr 30 to summit. I took 1hr from Gondola to saddle, but took me more than 2hr from Saddle to Summit. This track is challenging, as I am not a fit hiker. Even most part of trail is no shade, it’s still tolerable. The February sunshine in Queenstown is much more gentle then Adelaide. And the view is amazing, so no shade is not a big problem.
Then, be aware of the bird on top of summit. It’s very cute and very smart. He knew how to open zip and pick up my cash bag from my backpack and fly away.

Great hike. Best view you can get of Queenstown. I’d recommend taking the gondola to the start of the hike. Saves some time that you can use to enjoy the view at the top.

Not a hugely difficult hike until you get to the saddle. From there, you’ve got some strenuous climbing and scrambling to the summit. The final leg, even in summer, can be very cold. So be prepared.

Family hike, lot of people.
After the viewpoint, the track is forbidden to the public, so it’s a 6 km track instead of 11 km.
2h30 - 3h

Exceptional track.
We start from Arthurs point (with Uber for $20).
We add the mount Ben Lomond, wonderful !

Awesome trail! The last hour to the summit is rocky and above the tree line so no shade. It’s quite windy and chilly, even in summer time so go prepared!

Easy all in the shade. Had to take the gondola to get to it.
