Really beautiful place, totally worth it...

Fun hike, great views of the town, the lake and the many mountain peaks surrounding Wanaka. Good signage. Heavily travelled. Hikers of all ages. Notably, during the morning hour we hiked, many young moms with their babies getting their work out.

Beautiful views! Easy hike for everyone. Can be windy at some spots, but then around the corner hot and windstill again

There is not actually a path from Jack's point to Frankton. The farmer told us to leave and walk along the street. The Part from the Hilton Hotel to Jack's Point is great, awesome views and well maintained path. You have to share with bikers, so be aware.

Do not make the whole loop, when you arrive at the bridge start right and because if you go on the left of the bridge you will drive along the road and it is quite dangerous.

QMTBC have done an awesome job building and maintaining this trail network. Climb up ‘What’s Up’ and enjoy all the downhill trails from there. My favourite - ‘Jack be Nimble’. Great flow, with perfectly formed berms and large tabletop jumps!

We went left from the car park which gave views of Wanaka and the lake while going up. Then the way down had views of the other side which was less exciting and also had a .5 mile walk around the base to get back to our car. Fun quick hike with good views. Lots of runners and dogs.

Great locals trail - I used to do this walk a few times a week :) Lovely views. I highly recommend hiking up for sunset! Bring a head torch to come back down :)

Went with my mountain bike.
amazing track. most of it is on the road or on gravel.
I would suggest to take the camp track once you reached the Larnach Castle instead of the Castlewood road.
the camp track is a beautiful downhill. a real treat after the whole trip going uphill.

Note: Instead of completing the loop, we followed the Queenstown, Frankton, and Kelvin Peninsula trails to the point and then backtracked the same way (approximately 20.7 miles in all).

The trails are shared with pedestrians, but we didn’t encounter much traffic on our midweek ride. All three trails are scenic, but the Kelvin Peninsula trail is particularly stunning, with Alpine gardens on one side and the lake on the other. Be prepared to stop every few minutes to take photos.

Good for a morning wakeup. Short semi strenuous loop.

The weather was great and the scenery was better, this is a very popular walking track. With many places to stop and enjoy the view!
