Tobins and s a great little outing with your horse Once you cross a small river ( can get higher after a lot of rain- then only cross if you are experiencing in river crossings) It’s a uphill climb to a day with a platform and nice view perfect to tie up horse for some grass and have a picnic - you can ride further to the end of Gllencoe Rd Bikers are normally kind and stop & communicate how to pass Ieach other safely without freaking out horses And everyone seems to enjoy seeing horses Please make sure to kick any poo of the track and enjoy a nice ride

Good gravel road track if you want to get the heart pumping. If you like a challenge you can access track to climb Mt Beetham which is 1.8km advanced up hill but worth the view at the top but take water if you are planning to do that.

HikingGreat!

Walking on an early spring day makes this track a must walking if visiting the area. The track is suitable for all. Many good spots if you wish to picnic on the way round. Make sure you have your camera and or your phone. Great walk if you want to give your dog a work out. Highly recommended walk

자전거로 가기에 살짝 길이 좁다. 항상 반대편에서 오는사람 및 자전거를 주의해야한다 the treck is a bit narrow for cycling, u need to have attention and be award someone comming from the opposite direction.

Nice trail around like. Some shade and some sun. Watch out for mountain bikes. South end is marshy but trail seems to stay dry. Great photos.

Rewarding views, but not what I expected, as I personally enjoy something a little more technical and varied. Is essentially a constant up-hill to a nice little look-out point with benches. Trail is more or less a gravel road, and is in fine condition. Hiking boots not necessary - walking or running sneakers would be sufficient. I believe you can loop down to back into town, but I went back part of the way I came on Tobins to access the New Chums trail. Technically easy, but decently challenging in terms of physical fitness. No water or amenities, so bring your own.

Pleasant flat walk along the river if you have a little time to spare in Arrowtown. Plenty of shade for warmer days. Plenty of sand-flys too so put repellant on.

Beautiful! Planned to run this but ended up walking ( took too many photos!) would def. do again. Took about 1.15 at a 9.30 pace. There a couple of (long drop) toilets along the way if needed.

Great easy walk around the lake, also quite easy to run (took me about 1hour) Quite flat with a few ups and downs here and there. Can get busy over the weekend, share the track with bikes, dogs, and prams. Shaded in some parts, in the sun for others. Would recommend, the view the whole way is beautiful!

Beautiful, diverse hike that is challenging at times but worth it. We saw (and smelt) sweet wildflowers in bloom as well as wild strawberries. Could do in about 2 hours if you were just walking, but there are plenty of spots to stop and take in the view/take photos. And you’ll probably need to stop to catch your breath a few times on some of the uphill sections. The views are worth it at the top, keep going!

Nice trail, elevation changes are quite manageable and short. We’re 57 & 67 and are infrequent hikers and did the loop in 2 hours and saw less than 10 people. It rained steadily the day before and the trail was in good condition. Nice views over the lake, mountains as a backdrop, lots of Spring flowers in bloom. Saw lots of waterfowl in the marsh area and A LOT of rabbits - I quit counting after 70!!!

Great walk.great views just about 360 degrees,on a still day you can get a fantastic reflection of the surrounding mountains in the lake popular with landscape artist, also has some great stories from days gone bye,and is the warmest body of water to swim in in the entire whakatipu basin. Don’t agree with the difficulty level tho as it’s predominantly flat...

Nice and easy walk. I've done only left side of the lake because the most of nice views is over there. You can make a loop as well.
