Went with my mountain bike.
amazing track. most of it is on the road or on gravel.
I would suggest to take the camp track once you reached the Larnach Castle instead of the Castlewood road.
the camp track is a beautiful downhill. a real treat after the whole trip going uphill.

Awesome views from the top!

Great quick way to start your day!

Note: Instead of completing the loop, we followed the Queenstown, Frankton, and Kelvin Peninsula trails to the point and then backtracked the same way (approximately 20.7 miles in all).

The trails are shared with pedestrians, but we didn’t encounter much traffic on our midweek ride. All three trails are scenic, but the Kelvin Peninsula trail is particularly stunning, with Alpine gardens on one side and the lake on the other. Be prepared to stop every few minutes to take photos.

Good for a morning wakeup. Short semi strenuous loop.

The weather was great and the scenery was better, this is a very popular walking track. With many places to stop and enjoy the view!
