Otago, New Zealand Map

Family hike, lot of people.
After the viewpoint, the track is forbidden to the public, so it’s a 6 km track instead of 11 km.
2h30 - 3h

Exceptional track.
We start from Arthurs point (with Uber for $20).
We add the mount Ben Lomond, wonderful !
6-7 h

chemin très facile, si celle ci est difficile alors la Muller hut est extrêmement dure. elle est longue et pentue mais rien de dur. 2h30 pour la montée. vue magnifique

Would class this a little Hardy than easy in some places... Great views... Take lots of water and sun screen.

Awesome trail! The last hour to the summit is rocky and above the tree line so no shade. It’s quite windy and chilly, even in summer time so go prepared!

A wonderful 5 day 4 night walk through a variety of scenery .

We got to see Yellow-eyed penguins! The trail is steep but worth it.

Easy all in the shade. Had to take the gondola to get to it.

This trail is a bit brutal if the sun is out. There isn’t any shade and it’s about five miles of steep grade switch backs. However, do not give up! The payout is amazing, and I saw a few adorable sheep. Bring lots of water!

Quite steap, definetely would take my hiking poles, since i have one weak knee.

Did it all the way from the start of the Gondola down in Queenstown. the views are stunning all the way. i found it a bit challenging (intermediate hiker), especially since i didn't bring my hiking poles and on the steapest part, the way down from the Gondola station, my knee troubled me a bit.
Absolutely take 1.5-2l of water per person, a good water- and windproof jacket, and if you are like me your hiking poles ;). it is absolutely rewarding.

5* if you are able to reach the top!! Don't do it if you are not able to climb the last part as you won't habe any view before you reach it. Bit the view on the top is probably one of the best of the area. stunning

not a big deal, quite nice but nothing special... definitely not hard, I would say medium level

Lovely EASY trail by lake Wakitipu from Queenstown. Basically flat and shared with bikers and moms with strollers.

Bring your bathing suit and drop in for a dip in the crisp lake at one of the small beaches.

That is definitely NOT a moderate! Very difficult terrain, sometimes very easy to get lost if you overlook a sign. Even at official doc.govt.nz website is stated that you need good fitness and high level skills and experience incl. navigation and survival skills. So be aware of that.

Took us a little over an hour to get to the top. Not to shabby for a couple of 50 something’s. It’s a tough hike up but shaded which was very helpful. Incredible views at the top!

Do not make the whole loop, when you arrive at the bridge start right and because if you go on the left of the bridge you will drive along the road and it is quite dangerous.

Made it to the saddle with our kids. Half carrying them and half them hiking. (4 and 2). Wasn’t too bad. Definitely a work out.

Got a bit windy for the them even with extra layers and was advised by a few passerby’s not to attempt the peak with kids in packs. Steep scrambling. Etc. So we settled for the saddle...

Views all the way up and at the saddle are insane.
Best hike we did in Queenstown.

Will be back next year with a lighter load. :)

Was a beautiful hike, got off the path a bit into a non path that was a bit treacherous so just pay attention to the orange triangles and you’ll be fine. Lovely hike got to the top in 1:20

Beautiful track. Easy walk along the valley that follows the Greenstone River.

Great views along the valleys. The saddle was rainy so I didn't see the view from the top. Easy track. Just one long 22k day.

A walk day fun!

Did it for sunrise, was amazing. Start walking around 2am and u will be up right in time. The way up is suitable for night walking and the beginning and end is harder but worth the view in the end.

Lovely park stroll with some great views across the lake. A pond with ducks. Frisbee golf. Definitely not a hike. :)

What a great trail. Starts along the river out of Arrowtown and then breaks off left for a bit of a steep uphill. Some stream crossings and awesome scenery finishes with beautiful view from the top. Had it to ourselves for a nice lunch. Ate some wild strawberries and had a swim in the river on the way back to the car. Amazing day. Huge fans of the Arrowtown area.
