Awesome track, totally worth it. Nice views all the way. The route is very easy to follow, even maintenance car goes there. Steady steep, could be windy - there is no shade. I did it in 1 hour and 40 minutes to the top fast walk. And back to the carpark in 1 and 10 minutes - occasionally running.

amazing views, try to do it outside of peak tourist times as you'll be waiting for ages for your turn to take pic. definitely one of the harder hikes I've done. I ended up taking my shoes off towards the end as my feet were burning from the downhill slog

Did this on New Years Day after a big night. I found it pretty easy until I got towards the top where it was exposed. I was being knocked over in the strong wind and was on my hands and knees so decided to turn back as it was too dangerous

I love the crater lake. The walk up is moderate, abit slippery near to the top when rained. We took 3 hours return. Love the view if various lakes at the summit. Only pity is some overgrown plants causing some view blocks..

I did this after rolling my ankle the day before, and found it easy enough despite all the stairs. great track and the waterfall is stunning! one of the highlights of my west coast trip

A wonderful place to explore could easily spend a day here just looking around, another kid friendly walk.

Awesome walk definitely worth it with the end view, easy enough for kids.

Easy trail to follow. There are a few suspension bridges along the way. It’s mostly flat with some steps here and there. We did this track in early June. The conditions were good, not too cold and quite clear when we were there, although the drive there was very fogged in. Definitely recommend this hike.

A must do for either a day hike or an overnight journey. I did a day hike but I would have loved to stay up at the hut as well. Go check it out.

really enjoyable but agree more of a stroll than a hike! loved it anyway! make sure to climb down to the bottom of the river it's just stunning!

An amazing hike but definitely one to take your time with. We started before sunrise to make it above the clouds to see it, and that took about 2.5 hours with a moderate pace and several breaks. We sweated all the way up but were SO thankful to have our coats at the top as it was was 1500+m high and quite windy., even with the sun shining on us. Clouds didn't clear for us today but still got a great view of the mountains in the distance among a sea of clouds. Took about 1h45m down because the steepness is so hard on your knees! Make sure to bring plenty of water and spare TP, as the bathroom near the viewpoint wasn't stocked and the aroma of cow poop might make you feel like you have to go too.

Trail was extremely steep with lots of rocks. Had to pull yourself up using tree roots at times. The sign-post warns that this is an advanced route. All-trails lists this as moderate - definitely not "moderate".

Lots of mixed reviews, I found this trail very hard. It can be busy with lots of switchbacks and steep. Lots of shortcuts have been walked out but still steep and tiresome. The final stretch after the instagram photo spot I found the hardest again just as it’s all up hill. Views were amazing and incredible over Wanaka but beware that the steepness means the way down can be just as painful!!

This walk is special. Views of crystal clear, glacial blue water against a snowy mountain backdrop are impressive. I disagree that this is an "easy" walk, though. There are several places where things are tricky, and are especially complicated by mud.

Part of the trail closed but still a really decent walk, ended up going up to the campground and then turning back.

Brutal, that’s the word. Especially if you go further than the mount fox signalisation. Do it when no rain day before and on a very clear day. Very challenging also the first part on the forest, sometimes you have to climb with hands and it can slip, careful on the going down. But the view is very impressive. Bring lot of water and food

Strange to see it’s a moderate walk when it’s all flat. Very pretty walk but yesterday is busy.

One of the best walk I have done! Stunning forest with huge smooth rocks, and a beautiful view as a reward.

Track is closed because of a flooding. Went there on 30th may 2020. The sign didn't mention when the Track would be reopened.

Absolutely stunning short walk/hike. Steep little track but well worth the effort. Borland Road is a attraction in itself. One of our Favorite days in Fiordland. Wow, what a spot!

Great track, recommend going counter clockwise. Potential for feet to get wet with crossing stream but rocks there. Detour to the summit, the hike up is worth the views. Narrow and icy in places. This is a great hike.

Very easy. Interesting because it moves through so many different types of scenery.
