The sun was setting so we only headed in to the lookout (a few mins in) but will absolutely be back for the whole track. The first part of the track is across the rocks /beach and around the bend then up the stairs into the bush. Watch out for high tide if you don’t want to get your feet wet on the way back.

Stunning day, possibly the best ‘short’ walk/hike/bike ride close to Queenstown. Views and overall surroundings great for body and mind , not strenuous but a peaceful serenity. A little muddy in places where frost had thawed and cool when the sun drops behind the mountains. Highly recommend.

Nice, relaxed walk. You can park anywhere at the lake road or at the end at the camping area/ horse ranch.

Great little trail. Beautiful views the whole way. Not super challenging but we did it as part of our honeymoon and had a great morning. We did it last June so it started to get chilly so pack a warm jacket!

Great trail and easy access from the campsite on the property. Ran around the loop in the morning and it was completely empty. Great views and a few small inclines. Missed our turn and ended up at the peninsula but made our way back. Would 100% do it again!

Fairly easy hike with great Mountain Views. Pretty flat for most part with some uphill. But easy hike over all. Fair amount of bugs since it’s near the lake and nice views. The road to get here is off road so it’s kinda bumpy with narrow streets.

I’ve been in Queenstown for the last five days hiking, would love to come back and do this hike, there’s an endless supply of fresh springwater you would only have to carry enough food for the trip

Walking

Easy walk, but you are not here for hiking. You go there to jump of the second bridge. 7 meters. Diving into the ice cold crystal clear water! Do it!

Disclaimer: we only did half of this trail but thoroughly enjoyed the part that we did. It is fairly uphill but on a lovely sunny day the views were beautiful.

Marche très agréable et très instructive grace à ses signalétiques sur la faune locale. Je vous conseille de prendre le maillot et aller tout au bout de la marche vous allez tomber sur une petite plage merveilleuse. Le retour d’offre des points de vues différents de l’aller.

Running

Great run, tougher than it would seem. We took it lightly and ate our words as we huffed up some of the hills. Also missed our turn and went into the mini-peninsula for a little extra hill. Beautiful mountain scenery, and lots of campers and glampers chilling at their site around 8AM. Basically empty trail today.

Superbe randonnée/balade, la piste est large et accessible au plus grand nombre, le lac est magnifique, les paysages grandioses. Nous n’avons pas croisé beaucoup de promeneur mal grès le temps magnifique ! A faire absolument !

Relatively easy loop trail around Moke Lake. It took us only 85 minutes despite park signs saying it was 2.5 hours. Total vertical was only 550’ but the views of the lake and the surrounding mountains was spectacular. It’s a short 15 minute drive from Queenstown-dont miss it!

4 stars because it's not a loop and you have to come back the same way you've already been (although not entirely complaining as it's beautiful, just not as interesting)

Last week we went on a weekend and it was beautiful and stunning weather. The walk itself is long, but super easy..

Pretty but overcrowded in summer... warnings tell you not to have more than 10 people on the bridge but I don’t think there were ever fewer than 10. Lots of sandflies need the water, so wear repellent!

Short and easy walk with a nice suspension bridge. The real delight is the blue pools at the end, icy cold clear blue water with plenty of skipping stones!

Beautiful, easy. Bugs when you get closer to the pools. Disturbed by some guys jumping off the bridge into the pool, but otherwise a very calming and serene place.
