Beautiful trail! It gets quite steep and after the waterfall, so I was glad to have my trekking poles. Beware it can be extremely windy at the top so be prepared for that.

Climb to the top for a good ocean view.

VERY dangerous as the bottom dropped out beneath our feet and we had a close call crossing a flash flood. I'm pretty sure the trail will be closed indefinitely after the washout as there is no way to skirt it. very unstable ground and lots of landslides (slips).

Godley Head offers spectacular views over the ocean. The part that goes from Taylor's Mistake to Godley Head is the most beautiful part. It can be made a loop track by following the path at Godley Head towards Lyttleton. At the first car park climb the hill on your left and follow the track towards the summit road and the crater rim walk. Cross the summit road and you can walk down to Taylor's Mistake. I love this track as it is good for running too. The first part of the walk was a couple of weeks ago overgrown, but that's all fixed now.

Amazing! We started at the Coopers Creek car park. It was 15km round trip. Very steep and shingley in some parts but worth! Waterfall was beautiful, even went for a wee swim!

There’s so many beautiful view points before you even get to the view point. Stunning scenery around every corner. Well worth it even on an overcast day. Some ups and downs but relatively easy track. Loved it!

$10 to enter seems a bit much when there’s so many amazing DOC walks that are free and gorgeous in the area.

Nice track, no mud.

Great hike with a view worth seeing on Lake Tekapo and the surrounding mountains!

Stunning views from the top make the climb worth it. Expect almost entirely steps. They are well formed steps but can be quite steep. Not an avid climber but in pretty good shape. Climb was not technical but a good workout regardless. Took just over 2.5 hours total, out and back.

Great short trail to a beautiful waterfall. Only 45 minutes out a back. Slight steepness to the steps but still an easy walk if you take your time. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Steep climb but worth it once you’ve made it to the summit. Few good spots along the way for photos. Took just over 4 hours to complete round trip.

We started with a walk around the White Bluffs of Tekapo. A stunning farmland property located on a peninsula overlooking the beautiful turquoise Lake Tekapo . We explored the small peninsula at the end of the property, passing sheep and their adorable new born Lambs.

Trail doesn't have much trees mostly going up. Good 1 hour walk. Even by yourself

This trail is no longer a loop as a portion has been closed due to rock fall risk. To get back to the starting point you must take the crater rim path. It is also poorly marked and overgrown in some areas.
