Loved this trail, used the map as a base, as there are a lot of other trails that link up to main track to take you to the quarry. Glad I had live tracking on to ensure I was heading in the right direction. Enjoyed running through the huge trees, be prepared for stairs.
Easy to moderate trail for not more than 2 hours in total with breaks. Please bring along water and some food for yourself and enjoy the view from the top.
Beautiful walk around the gorgeous Blue Lake. A little “damp” as the area had some rain the day before...but I wouldn’t call it “muddy.” Amazing views once the trees open up!
Just went halfway. Beautiful changing ecosystem and lake
My first half is rather in the forest and prevents to see the lake. The second half offers a magnificent view of the lake. In the middle of the path, you have the opportunity to go to Green Lake with a picnic air. The round trip takes 1h30 and is very nice then we can finish the loop of the Blue Lake.
Very nice hike. Not very difficult and offers varied landscapes. We can also cross wallabyes with a little luck.
I just did only 5 km in this trail but I'm definitely coming here again. one of the must try.
I don't understand why this trail is marked as moderate because its a really nice little walk through a park, the only unfortunate thing is that the bridge across the main thermal pool is closed.
Two s aller Waterfalls. Okay but Seen mUCH BETTER in NZL. Way is kinda Boeing.
beautiful walk, full of good surprises
Well kept, great spot with places to sit and eat if you want to. There are loads of different routes here you can take :) Well worth a visit, for a quick of long walk
Awesome treck! The first part is a beautiful hike through the forest with a few fallen trees, but brilliantly signposted, once you get to the river you can follow it all the way back to the car park (turn left!). Slippery trail, but great fun and stunning surrounds. Prepare to get your shoes wet if you do follow the river!
Awesome trail, very quite only seen a handful of people. Fitbit watched gps tracked 18.5km took us just under 4 hours with a lunch stop. Would highly recommend, hot water beach is beautiful a a perfect place for a nice swim after your hike.
Nobody died
only problem is it's too short
good ride, good for kids and teenagers
Beautiful Track, only did half of it and went back but still. It seems to be underrated, I only met 6 people in 4 hours.
Well maintained with few hikers. Reasonable fitness is good idea. Can be a little slippery in the wet. Great afternoon walk in the bush. only 10min drive from central Rotorua.
A good walk, mostly through trees & bush, reasonable hills. Good trail. Some spectacular views over the lake. Took us a bit over 4hrs at a average pace.
Uhhh I got a bit lost.
well maintained
very good route, the stream crossings were great, bit hard to see track in a couple of places, but really enjoyed myself.
Nice trail easy/moderate (last part), view is ok. Crater lake is cool.
Nice foot spas
Mean pools
So beautiful
