wow it is absolutely stunning.
worth the walk and steps!
loved it.

I’ve been up the mount a couple of time. I would recommend going up to see the sunrise.

I'd recommend going the long way when ur walking up its worth the view. Great hike one of my favourites

Great hike! Loved the view! Although finding this place took me awhile as the car park looks like a working site with all those gravel.

A short but quite difficult 45 minute ascent to the top especially in the sun!

However the views at the top are amazing and fit people even run it!

Would do it again!

A great running track too

Nice for an afternoon walk. Peaceful and close to nature. Took around an hour and a half to complete loop.

The walk to the crater lake is an easy 5 minutes from the car park while the summit took me about an hour. Not a single step on the entire walk, easy gradual climb up. There are alot of vents and steam coming out of the ground along the trail, the view from the top is good, but I found the crater lakes and geothermal vents to be the more exciting hike.

Easy late afternoon hike! Not hard at all, though crowded!

It's an easy 40mins walk with some beautiful lookouts. I loved it. Even on weekend not crowded, I only met couple of people. Carry your surfing board and ride that waves :)
Orokawa bay is really nice and peaceful.

Great trail for hill training.
View up the top is worth every second of puffing.

you can have a nice walk around the mountain (~40mins) or going up to the top (another 45mins). Bit crowded, lot of people running up and down as well.

there are 2 tracks you can do, around the mount and up. I did both and they're quite relax. Perfect to start or and the day. The view at the top is beautiful.

Gentle walk with some steps and great views

The Mount is beautiful! Walk around the base track if you feel like a gentle walk with beautiful views, or take one of the tracks up if you feel like something a little more challenging. The view from the top is definitely worth the walk up but the base tracks offers its own delights! Seals, shells and ships!

This track is very busy all year round, but especially so in summer. Can be done in jandals and togs.

No dogs. Enjoy!

One of my favourite walks (no dogs allowed). Start at Waihi Beach main beach and walk over the hill to the beautiful Orokawa Bay. The walk itself is relatively easy, although can be slippery after rain so take good footwear. Well worth the walk for the beautiful beach at the end.

Great dog friendly walk! The current of the stream is very strong in some places so ensure your dog is a good swimmer if they are off lead and keep a close eye on them. You can do the whole walk or shorter walks within it. Easy, well maintained track.

great views from the top or a nice easy walk around the base

nice walk well worth it for the view at the top

Beautiful scenery around the base track, and really awesome views as you are walking up and from the summit.

Easy Bush walk that connects Owen's Park to Riverstone park

If you are not a local, the signage is not all it could be. There are a number of ways to get to the top and you have no idea what the differences are. if I knew which trails I took, I'd tell you; but I don't. People of all ages do this walk (including people carrying babies) but there is no question it is steep.

Relatively easy wide trail, makes it a bit harder if it’s a hot day but the views at the top are unreal. Walk back down to the beach was nice as well and we saw a few sheep! Definitely worth the walk up top. Running shoes are probably a good idea but I did it in flip flops and was fine!

Great, quick hike with 3 trails to get up. I took the 4WD track. It was less crowded, which I appreciate in a hike.

Great views, excellent for visitors.

Very nice mountain. Not too hard and not too easy. Perfect for for training. Steep in parts but the view from the summit is worth the effort!

Great family friendly loop around the spectacular Lake Tiki Tapu.
Many good views of the lake and well formed tracks.
Many use for trail running.
