Nice and easy and a beautiful view. There are some steep steps to get to the end of the walk but nothing too hard, just a FYI

flat walk very easy. Shared with cycling.

Soooo many steep stairs lol would not recommend kids unless their fit or if you can carry them up cause daaaam those stairs are something else I tell ya haha died walking up but worth the view !

it's a really good small walk it's quite good and enjoyable

A great walk for a beginner. Lots of stairs but the view from the top is amazing.

Shady, easy walk with nice views

Other half of trail is now reopened so makes for a nice loop!

Average walk. Very easy

Heaps of stairs but worth

Enter the hike from the right side in anti-clockwise. And it's a good shaded climb. At the moment, the left side is closed. The top track is no accessible with over grown blocking the path. No possible to go further than the loop.

Plenty of steps to get the heart rate up. High intensity lower duration type hike. Starts off with multiple steps and transitions to a semi scramble to the top over tree roots etc. Can get muddier on the top half during wetter seasons

half of the track is closed for maintenance, can only get to the view point

The main trail to the lookout is good and well maintained. However the offshoot from the main loop to the rest of the track is badly maintained and overgrown with head hight gorse and grass. We forced our way through for around 800m to see if it improved but it didn't get better so we turned around. Also lots of people who think that dogs on a lead doesn't apply to their dog.

great trail well marked.

It's about 600 stairs plus a section of unpaved, moderate uphill walk over tree roots towards the summit. I'm around mid 30, quite unfit but managed to finished it within 30 mins, with a few short rests along the way. Highly recommended for people looking for a quick fitness fix. Dont go if you hate stairs.

Quick hike.

Great walk. My 13 year old was able to run most of it and I wore my 2 year old on my back. Nice waterfall down the bottom and awesome veiws from the top.

good, interesting around and through about 3 craters with a some good short climbs if you wish

Excellent quick butt burner, 69 floors climbed to lookout - the loop is closed but there & back with a fab view at the top is still worth it. When you’re in Clevedon a must stop is the Clevedon Co-Op for pre walk coffee & ginger crunch after - BOOM

Beautiful views out to the sea and easy walking for both adults and kids

Beat part of trail is closed. The open part is just a bunch of steep stairs and a return. Meh.

Great condition. Track partly closed for maintenance but still a good walk for the time we had.

very nice views - and recommended it - not to long

Only part of this track is open due to Kauri Dieback, you cannot do the full loop, I see it is now being monitored by Auckland Council compliance officers.

Great trail. But as of end of June 2019 half of the track is closed for maintenance. The other half is still a nice out-and-back hike up the steps with an impressive lookout at the top.

Great short walk with the family. A little muddy with the recent rain but took nothing away from the blood pumping climb. A bit disappointing that we could only do half the walk as it was closed for maintenance. Will definitely go again when fully open to complete the whole loop.
