Good scenery ans adventure. ballsed up the recording a bit so it appears we teleported

went here today with my partner in the rain and was a blast of a walk. loved the views of the dam! and all the little peeps of how high you were through bush gappings. definitely recommend doing this walk, excellent beginners track.

My first track in New Zealand. 5/5*

Enjoyed it! Short and intense. Loved the view from the top. Also good for a quick cardio session.

Great trail, starts to get a bit steeper towards the end but not to difficult and the views at the summit are worth it.

Dont forget water and food as there are no shops!

For a city hike, it is nice. It's long. My path was 13 miles. The signage is not helpful, as it is inconsistent and not always where you need it. I printed out the guide from Auckland City Council, but use the AllTrails app. The ap worked, but not easily. Mostly sidewalks and a few footpaths up Mount Eden and in Cornwall Park. There are cafes and other places to stop on the way. You pass through many city domains (parks). I walked through the shopping district in Onehunga and caught the #30 bus back to Skycity, which worked out well.

really awesome walk plus they have upgraded the track its an all-weather hike and very safe

this place was beautiful, I enjoyed it allot.
it's very well looked after and the track is easy to follow.
definitely bring a hat as some parts have no shade.

this hike is breathtaking!
the views are amazing ! definently 1 5 out of 5.
make sure you being good shoes, a hag an plenty of water.

I hiked the Tiritiri Track and the Heritage Trail. Both were beautiful hikes, the Pink Beach is on the Tiritiri trail (not actually a sandy beach, just rocks) which has some beautiful views. Lots of lookout points as well. The heritage trail is absolutely gorgeous as you walk through the forest, especially when raining. I highly recommend checking out these trails and walking along the beach.

Great walk- best to prepare to get wet! Lots of river crossings and some cool waterfalls to jump off!!
Stairs at both ends will test your cardio!! Hi

very enjoyable with lots of different scenery.

not a bad hike, good for the family, nice walk and scenery.

good track. nice and cool under the trees. great lookout spot just before the resovior and lots of space to stop and have lunch at the resovior.
only thing I don't like is the steps leading down to the creek need a bit of maintenance as they are a tripping hazard and I wish they would build a bridge at the creek because the rocks are slippery.

this is a great workout, the stairs can be pretty tiering, the waterfall is beautiful, but not really swimmerble.
the scenery was mostlythe same, that's why I'm rating it a 3
I have been on better hikes.
still enjoyable and worth doing
I like that there's decent amount of shade during the hike.

Unreal... river was low so followed it for ages. Awesome falls & pools

Nice trail, there is footpath work ongoing until mid 2019 the signs mentioned.
So not all of the track is accessible, but a great walk, peaceful and makes you feel like you're not in the city.

Actually NOT closed at all.
The coastal track (the East side) is much more interesting and nicer (narrow paths, walking on lava). If you're short on time this the side you should focus on.
The West side as good point of views but it's a gravel road.

This is a great hike to see an amazing waterfall. It does contain some uphill runs, but is doable for most people. Be sure to stop and take photos along the way! Also kudos to the Auckland rangers for constructing such an easy to follow trail!

Loved it, round the head of the lake it can get muddy in some places. One bridge is out, have to climb down to.the creek and back out again. Fantastic view from the summit, and Piggets Camp ground is a pretty spot.

Great trail, but is definitely NOT closed.

Great views! A bit crowded, well marked and possible to hike also for beginners.

Loved it, two totally different islands. Easy walking, paths are Rocky but well maintained.

This is a beautiful trail - perfect mix of being by the water and in the forest.

Trail connect to the beach. It was beautiful, huge black sand beach.

Path way is closed

this is great place to hike,
beautiful views and family friendly.
I went with my husband, 2 year old and 6 week old.

awesome place to go! definently look forward to doing it again next year.
best to wear sandles.
once you reach the lake it is quite steep, and the lake gets deep fast.
i would say it's not very suitable for young children.
