The first and last section of the trail is along the windmills of Kinderdijk. Resulting in great views, but very busy with tourists. Once you leave the windmills behind it quiets down. The trail is for about 60% paved and 40% grass. Even though the trail follows the main water almost constantly the views are changing constantly. I hiked out and camped at the paalkampeerplaats, but you can also do it all in one day.

Great experience. The section of the trail close to Kinderdijk is quite busy with tourists, but once you leave the mills behind the hike is nice and relaxing. Great experience to camp, but it's also possible to hike it all at once. About half of the hike is on long grass.

The parking of Farm Hazenveld is for guests only from April 1st till october 1st.
If you're not a guest at the campground you can always park at the round about at cycle intersection 14.
From October 1st till April 1st it;s allowed to park at the campground.

It’s a nice hike with some look out points. The walk is through forest and moreland. Trails are easy to walk, never steep or loose surface. Great for birding and seeing some Dutch ‘wildlife’ like deer and cows.

Amsterdam is a very interesting city and this tour gives you an amazing impression of it. Don't forget to stop at 'De Bakkerswinkel', Warmoesstraat 69, for breakfast/lunch/high tea. Really good food!
I visited the museum 'Onze Lieve Heer Op Solder', which was beautiful.

nice walk through forest with many different sceneries. Could be anywhere :-)

Interesting, mostly flat trail with a dried lake bed.

Very nice track

I took a 30 minute train from Amsterdam to this park early July.. it was spectacular! There’s so many walking, biking, and horse back riding trails that all criss cross each other. The little beach area is very clean, intimate, and offers some shade. The multiple biomes that are present are all so distinct. Definitely not a very strenuous hike, but there were some sand dune hills to traverse that got your heart rate up! Definitely recommend this National Park for anyone who wants to get outta the city and retreat into the wilderness!

Fun hike to see many birds. See castle De Haar in the distance. Easy hike but a lot of fun.

Very nice and pretty trail through 'Boswachterij Austerlitz'. Dogs can walk off the lease here. We were lucky enough to see a deer during our walk.

Aardige route, maar was een beetje modderig.

Leuke route door een afwisselend landschap. Start vanaf het parkeerterrein van Natuurkampeerterrein de Meenthe.

I lived in de Pijp for 3 years before moving to the US... great memories. This walking tour is great! It describes some buildings close to my old house that I never paid any attention to. I hope to go back soon and follow this tour.

Amsterdam is one of the favorite cities I have ever visited. It is a city full of history, art, and culture, and this tour lets you explore all of that.

The highlights during my trip were walking along the many canal streets (pretty much every street), going to the Van Gogh museum (excellent), and going to the Amsterdam History museum, where I learned a lot about how the town developed and became an integral part of European trade and world trade. There are so many great and different things to do here that you will never want to leave.
