Nice trail with some elevation and good view points. If you take a slight detour you can touch the Dutch-Germany border.

Eerste gedeelte (Hitland noord) leuk en gevarieerd, daarna toch wel lange saaie stukken over asfalt. Vooral laatste stuk langs N219 saai en veel verkeer.

Really nice walk with different sorts of nature (forest, moorland, lake). Also easy access by train.

Being from Amsterdam I can state that this is a not too long hike taking you along some nicer streets as you would normally take from highlight to highlight. Especially the second part (if you walk clockwise) is nice altough the last part past the red light district will often be very crowded. But this part is about 1 km of the total hike. All in all recommended especially for young people wanting tot get a taste of the historic city.

The park is currently undergoing reconstruction. Or actually, it’s in the process of being created, by connecting different pieces of the park by new bridges. That causes some detours, but nothing bad, and when it’s finished it’ll be beautiful! Great way to get to know the city and it’s history. Signing is present or being created.

Amazing short hike. You could easily lengthen this hike since there are numerous other hiking opportunities in the adjoining forests.

This has the potential for a really lovely walk (although I prefer to bike it). But as a loop it has a relatively dull 2/5ths parallel to the road from Wassenaar to Voorschoten (N448) and then turning right parallel the railway line. I would change the walk from a loop to an out-and-back. I prefer to start at the southern point and head west (clockwise) and turning around after exploring the De Horsten park near the northern most point (on the N448 near the junction with N44). There's a few free parking spots near my southern start after crossing underneath the railway line but much larger free parking at De Horsten park. However, by starting in the south you begin (and end) with the most tranquil part of the walk. One of my favourite parts is looking at the beautiful houses in the streets off the western edge of this route in Oud Wassenaar. Also don't forget Duivenvoorde Castle is a few hundred meters off the southernmost part.

Zwolle was a great city for our visit, stayed 4 days and did this walk. It showed the great medieval city centre. Must do when nearby.

Nice and easy walk through the forests of Lage Vuursche, passing some 3000-year-old barrows along the way. You hit the little village of Lage Vuursche at the half-way point (good stop for a drink or bite) and end up close to a nice cafe. We combined it with camping closeby at "paalkampeerplaats" Kaapweg, a free little camping site in the woods (no facilities at all, meaning that only nature-enthusiasts use it).

It's a nice ride for a bike tour, which shows you a typical Dutch landscape with cows and sheep, vast grass lands, skies and clouds, and lots of water. It's also possible to do this route by rollerblading, but it's less convenient as a walking trail.

A good morning or afternoon walk in Texel with views along a beach, a chance to stop in a beautiful lighthouse with an historical WWII story (look for the bullet holes) and views of the water marshes and wild bunny rabbits. In the summer it can get busy along the water.

Makkelijke route over brede paden. De route loopt langs Kasteel Drakensteyn, waarna het tot in het dorp Lage Vuursche duurt voordat er weer een routebordje staat.

Nice route, unfortunately all over tarmac. The little boat ride over the Amstel is great though.

I really liked the trail since its mostly on trails or bike paths. I hardly met with any cars along the whole trail. The markers are sometimes hard to follow because they offer cut offs and extentions. One time I went wrong and had to go back. The unpaved portions of the trail can become muddy after a lot of rain.

The first and last section of the trail is along the windmills of Kinderdijk. Resulting in great views, but very busy with tourists. Once you leave the windmills behind it quiets down. The trail is for about 60% paved and 40% grass. Even though the trail follows the main water almost constantly the views are changing constantly. I hiked out and camped at the paalkampeerplaats, but you can also do it all in one day.

Great experience. The section of the trail close to Kinderdijk is quite busy with tourists, but once you leave the mills behind the hike is nice and relaxing. Great experience to camp, but it's also possible to hike it all at once. About half of the hike is on long grass.

Amsterdam is a very interesting city and this tour gives you an amazing impression of it. Don't forget to stop at 'De Bakkerswinkel', Warmoesstraat 69, for breakfast/lunch/high tea. Really good food! I visited the museum 'Onze Lieve Heer Op Solder', which was beautiful.
